That’s a wrap on the split, and we’re closing out the ACL with a 26-6 overall game record and a massive 3-0 sweep in the finals.
The work put in from start to finish this season was unbelievable. Ever since the Combines, dealing with a packed schedule for a T3 team and sacrificing a lot of evenings, this group just kept moving forward together. Everyone bought into their roles, the game plans, and the changes, and we rode out the highs and lows as a true team. Working with people like this every single day makes everything so much easier, and it’s an experience I won’t forget.
The one bummer, though, is that we didn't get more chances to scrim top-tier teams. We definitely missed out on practice against T2 rosters, real adversity, the kind of games where you get put in your place and learn the most. Reality checks like that would have been great for us at certain points in the split, both to challenge ourselves and to gauge where we truly stood. With a group this dedicated, I really think we could have pushed even further.
With Jean-François vision in mind, here are the main takeaways for each player this split:
@Karsiakk His aggression won us a massive amount of games, and he became so much more stable in lane and in comms as the split went on. Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed he didn’t get selected for the Sidos. There’s nobody better at his role in T3, he’s been proving it for a while now, yet he’s still getting overlooked, even for TOs.
@Yuu13lol Our teamfights ran right through him, and his pathing frequently kept us a step ahead of the curve. His improvement this split was insane, both in mechanics and comms, which took his overall level of play to new heights. He 100% deserves his spot in the Sidos, and I can see him moving up to the NACL soon.
@likeamaws A veteran player who proved just how incredibly reliable he still is after all these years. In a roster full of younger guys, his consistency and calm demeanor gave the team a rock-solid foundation. We always knew exactly what we were going to get from him, game after game. Just an exceptional midlaner.
@LoL1ben His first split as a player after transitioning from coaching. It’s never an easy switch, but he showed up with solid mechanics, a real knack for securing resources, and grew more and more resilient with every game. A hugely successful debut split.
@GONEBYSPRING_ Our support who we pulled out of retirement, and who we’re sadly saying goodbye to now that the split is over. He agreed to run it back for us, bringing his veteran experience, incredible reads on the game, and a presence that grounded everyone. An amazing person with gameplay that is still just a cut above the rest. Thanks for everything.
A massive shoutout to @Lol_jeanfr His vision and hard work were the heartbeat of this split. He helped the team in every possible way, way beyond just drafts and match prep, and a huge part of what these players accomplished is because of him. Shoutout to @LolRourke as well for everything he brought to the table all season. Having a coaching staff like this makes all the difference in the world.
For a lot of the guys, this split was about proving they belong here and getting on the radar of higher-tier teams. This isn’t the end; it’s a massive stepping stone. Be proud of what you’ve shown out there.
See you next split.
Stunned to learn that this guy wasn't selected for SIDO this go around, he's fresh off making promo tournament and now an ACL title.
No idea what happened but probably the most significant miss since these combines began.
Karsiak should be in T2 within the next year.
What a big year this has been for DME ! Shoutout @coussinhoo for putting together these team and @Lol_jeanfr for coaching these team. Back in December last year, talking with Couss was like imagine bro... Well we made it and it's only the beginning. It's only the 2nd year for DME
@BlueOtterGG Does that mean we can match fixed the finals of promotional in the assumption that we are buying a slot in NACL ? You think Riot will help us out too ? #sarcasm
We've cleared every obstacle so far. Now it's International Love. The biggest test of the day to make sure we're back tomorrow. Live on the DME channel.
