An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.

In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.

The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

Happy 90th birthday to the one and only Tony Foulds.

I first met Tony back in 2019 when we organised the flypast with the @usairforce and it’s been great to get to know him. He is worried about getting older but he says all the conversations he has with people every week keep him going ❤️

He’s going to celebrate with 6 fish fingers and a cup of his famous fiddy-fiddy (half tea, half coffee).

Next week he goes on what he describes as the ‘trip of a lifetime’ he’s off to America to visit the birthplace of the pilot of the plane which crashed in Endcliffe Park in 1944 when he was 8-years-old.
