🇮🇪 Reports from anonymous intelligence sources, first published by the Daily Mail on 8 August 2026, claim the New IRA is planning a campaign of violence and intimidation to force migrants out of Ireland.

The New IRA , the main surviving dissident republican group that grew out of the Real IRA , is said to be exploiting rising public anger over mass immigration.

Sources told the newspaper the group now has two stated aims: Irish independence and “all migrants out.” They describe it as part of an internal power struggle among dissident factions.

The claim follows a stabbing incident involving a Sudanese asylum seeker and the serious anti-migrant riots that erupted across Northern Ireland in June 2026, when homes, businesses and vehicles were attacked and families fled.

A video circulating on platforms shortly before the Mail story claimed the IRA would issue 24-hour ultimatums to illegal migrants and use force if they refused to leave.

Security officials note the New IRA has been active this year with attacks on PSNI stations (including a car bomb at Dunmurry and a proxy bomb attempt in Lurgan) and a recent seizure of a Semtex device in the Republic.

It has been heavily disrupted by MI5 and police operations, including financial sanctions and warning campaigns.

No public confirmation has come from the PSNI, Gardaí, MI5 or either government. The story rests on anonymous briefings.

Traditional republican groups have historically focused on the British state rather than migrants, and some voices on the ground have dismissed the claims.
Ireland has seen sustained high levels of asylum and immigration arrivals, a severe housing shortage, hundreds of millions spent on hotel accommodation, and repeated protests and unrest.

It is a description of what happens when democratic governments lose control of borders and refuse to address the consequences.

Pressure that is ignored does not vanish.

Uncontrolled migration creates exactly these kinds of vacuums.
Pretending otherwise is how situations like this arise.

Australia is so cooked.

A female homeowner found an intruder in her shed. She subdued him with a baseball bat and chained him up, then forced him to reveal the location of her items and the accomplices.

She was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, kidnapping with intent to cause actual bodily harm and being armed with intent to commit an offence. She has been refused bail.

No charges filed against the intruders yet.

Can't have guns, can't protect our own property without guns, just need to let the criminals run free.
