Accidentally meeting Yu Shuxin in Central, Hong Kong 🥹

On the night of the 23rd, I went out with my friends to celebrate my birthday. We had to wait for 3 hours before we finally got our table. About half an hour after we sat down, I suddenly saw her walk into the restaurant and sit at the table next to ours...

With less than 20 cm between us, I got to welcome midnight and turn 19 right beside her. The very first birthday wish I received this year came directly from Xinxin herself! 😭

She's unbelievably beautiful, so petite and slender. My best friend, who was sitting next to me, has been her longtime fan. We gently tugged at Missy-jiejie's leather jacket and asked her to help us find out if we could get Xinxin's autograph.

Once we got permission, all four of us frantically started digging through our bags to find something for her to sign. We even pulled out the pen I use to sign my attendance sheet at university and the photo card from Photoism that we had taken while waiting in line earlier.

At first, she only signed one item for my friend, who's been her fan for a long time. But then we wanted something to remember this moment by, too. So we tore off a few pieces of the paper packaging from the special Halloween edition of the little bear biscuits we'd bought at Donki. We even shared some of the bear biscuits with Missy-jiejie.

Thinking that this might be our one and only chance in a lifetime, we shamelessly asked her for a few more autographs. 😭

Both Xinxin and Missy were SO nice and easy to talk to... Xinxin is seriously, unbelievably beautiful!!!

She even chatted with us, clinked glasses with us, and asked what we would recommend ordering at the restaurant. After hearing our recommendations, she immediately ordered the same dishes as us!

Later, when they moved to another place, they also paid for our table's bill! I instinctively turned around and asked the waiter if I could pay for their table instead. When Xinxin heard me say that, she just kept laughing HAHAHAHA.

I was honestly way too embarrassed to let Shuxin pay for our meal. 😭

It was such an incredibly happy night!

When saying goodbye to Xinxin, I asked if we could give her a hug. Huhu, I ACTUALLY GOT TO HUG HER!!! My entire face was buried in her coat. My friend even got her face stroked by Xinxin while they were hugging.

We were so overwhelmed and shocked that we couldn't say anything other than repeatedly wishing her all the best and hoping she'd be happy every single day.

My 19th birthday was so, so happy. Something I wouldn't even dare to dream of actually became reality...

It really feels like true love came into my life. T^T ❤️

I only dared to post this after hearing that she'd already left Hong Kong. I hope this post hasn't caused her any inconvenience. I really don't want to bring her any unnecessary trouble.

I still vividly remember the day Xinxin was announced as the lead of #YunChusVengeance, right as Speed and Love suddenly dropped without any warnings (i'd already posted fake 🍉s a few days earlier so by the time i posted the real thing on airing day nobody bought my shit 😭 NOT EVEN MEHH. the girl who cried prEmieRe 🐧).

Anyway, looking back on those days, everyone thought Yu Shuxin would passively endure the public backlash and wait for opportunities through the industry's bitter winter. But she didn't. She defied the odds and secured her next drama on her own merit, braving the storm to make a new beginning.
If she dared to step forward when the storm was at its fiercest, then we MUST give it everything we have at the most decisive moment of this battle. And that moment is NOW.

When you've loved someone for a long time, the need to stand by them becomes almost instinctive.

Just look at us now. Without either a big-name company to back our drama up like others, or anyone having to call us together, we've all gathered here, right at this moment, excited and anxious, constantly wondering where we can help, what else needs doing, what else needs saying. I thought perhaps we needed some reassurance. Perhaps it was about generating buzz. Perhaps there was even an element of competition. Yun Chu Ling is a project she courageously fought for and waited for with just as much care.

I believe it holds her wholehearted effort, the same nuanced acting she brings to her other dramas, and countless days and nights of painstaking work. We know how much she has put into it. So how can we comfortably sit back and expect success to come without lifting a finger?

I've always felt that, seen another way, the virtual screening sponsorship campaign has never been some compulsory task or an exhausting competition within the fandom. It is the simplest, most earnest way that ordinary people like us can stand behind her.
