In the days ahead, I’ll be sharing the story of Bapu Baldev Singh Ji’s unbreakable courage. A father’s fight for justice after the extrajudicial killing of his son & three other young Sikhs on 4 Feb 1986. This is a story of truth, resilience & a father who refused to be silenced
After police led by Izhar Alam gunned down his son Ravinder Singh and 3 others in Nakodar in 1986, Bapu Baldev Singh sat in protest & refused to move on. #Wikileaks exposed Alam for running a private militia to execute Sikhs. His struggle still challenges silence and impunity...

Sanjay Verma, India’s diplomat, is out here trying to spin his way out of some serious accusations—dodging, denying, and deflecting from the hard truth: his implication in the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar and other Sikh activists. But let’s cut through the noise. Verma keeps repeating there’s “no evidence” shared with India. Well, when your fingerprints are on the scene, that’s the kind of excuse you throw out to muddy the waters.
He’s quick to cry “politically motivated,” pointing fingers at Khalistani activists in Canada, claiming they’re the ones wrecking relations. Nice try, Sanjay, but we see what you're doing. You're deflecting. You’re throwing up distractions about how the Khalistanis have “political influence,” but that doesn’t erase your government's own dirty laundry. The real issue here isn’t some political tug-of-war in Canada—it’s about India’s fingerprints on an extrajudicial assassination.
And let’s not miss the irony when Verma compares Trudeau's accusation to his own baseless claim that Khalistani extremists are "assets" of Canadian intelligence. This isn't just a “he said, she said” situation—this is about cold, hard evidence. Canada has it, and no amount of spin from India’s PR machine will make that disappear.
Verma wants to frame this as an attack on India’s sovereignty. Well, what about the sovereignty of those individuals targeted and assassinated by a foreign regime on Canadian soil? That’s the real question here, and no amount of diplomatic wriggling is going to hide it.
This kind of evasive rhetoric won’t cut it. Canada has named names and pointed fingers, and it’s time for Verma and India to answer. You can't just deflect and hope the world doesn't notice.
Breaking: India's Ministry of External Affairs states they have "received a diplomatic communication from Canada yesterday suggesting that the Indian High Commissioner and other diplomats are ‘persons of interest’ in a matter related to an investigation in that country"
We are grateful to honorable Members of Congress and our expert panel for their wonderful contribution and insightful reflections on transnational repression. We hope that briefing will pave the way for bipartisan support for legislation on TNR

Rishi Sunak too weak to call on Indian PM to release Jagtar Singh Johal
“Rishi Sunak since taking over as PM from Liz Truss in October 2022 has unacceptably been very reluctant to personally take up the case of Jagtar with India.”
“He has however been forced today through pressure from UK MPs to raise the case of Jagtar Singh Johal with Narendra Modi. He has however demonstrated his weakness and lack of leadership by shamefully falling to stand up for the rights of a British citizen and calling for Jagtar’s immediate release.”
