@FleecedByGetz is it crazy to say im more nervous over this series than the wild card or even a potential ALCS series cause honestly it'd be a miracle if we got past the rays and the astros weren't good anyway
@gabrielsmindset hey man im taking next season's starting lineup over that end of 24/25 start of 25/26 starting lineup that had won 20 of their last 25 games
@Ball_InMyHand its why the greats of the sport tend to always have a positive pval cause they're doing dirty/role player work while scoring. I'm not surprised seeing matas here cause outside the iso defense and shot blocking he doesn't force turnovers, while also turning the ball over a lot
@Ball_InMyHand pval is to me one of the better indicators of not necessarily how good a player can be but what type of player they will be. KD and JB are great players but tend to have low pval cause they don't do much to limit their own turnovers/force opponent turnovers
@Ball_InMyHand Obviously I don't think we have the personnel for good half-court defense, but I expect tiago to maximize dominating the glass, encouraging stealing the ball (helped by a rim prot unit of matas caleb and clax) and hammering in good transition defense, the same he did in portland
@Ball_InMyHand take this with a grain of salt cause looking at this you wouldn't equate this with the suns, blazers, rockets, and heat being bad defensive teams, as they worked well as collective units
@Moochaveli@GoHuskies1212@Ball_InMyHand the coach literally refused to play both matas AND valanciunas in the entire 2nd half and they blew a 12 point lead in 3 minutes to lose the game. It's just too early to equate matas's 3 first international games to: "he wont be anything special for us," its just dumb lol
@Moochaveli@GoHuskies1212@Ball_InMyHand did you watch the sweden and serbia games? Did the way jovic get his points off scream "the guy?" matas literally was given the ball like a total 6 times the last lithuania game and at least made the most of what he had drawing fouls and that one bucket
@GoHuskies1212@Ball_InMyHand@Moochaveli i hate the overreacting this fanbase always does to little stuff like this, like nobody in their right mind would equate this to jovic or larson being better nba players than matas, i guarantee most of these people arent actually even watching the lithuanian games
@Ball_InMyHand luka garza had 27 points for bosnia and nikola jovic had 22 for serbia, im not taking these performances as be-all end-all for what translates in the nba cause the games are clearly played different and matas is still learning, but still a great opportunity for him to improve
Billy Donovan has to go scorched earth in his exit interview with Michael and Jerry. He has to convey to them without the shadow of a doubt how much of an idiot Arturas Karnisovas is. Please save this ball club Billy, don't leave without taking him out with you.
@CNN_90 I understand the appeal pairing wilson with a top guard from this class but wilson already has offensive potential concerns and we don't even know how matas would perform in a new coaching system, dude dropped 41 at 21 as the main scouting report u just dont throw that away
@CNN_90 comparing matas to fields is not it brother, I get taking risks with a new GM but I see the timeline matas is on at 21 compared to the rest of that 24 class and I just don't get pressing the red button just for the sake of it for even less developed/proven talent in the 26 class
@sagar_tkd@Ball_InMyHand I agree with you but even then peterson is one of the best on/off ball prospects we've seen recently and these playoffs are showing you how important being good at that stuff is. I can't be mad with any of the top4
