@Myrightearhurts@amarkhamman@CP24 Many people work hard and don’t make close to 100k. I make above average for my job which is physically demanding and just as valuable to society as your’s, yet if I worked 365; no days off, I’d only top out at $66,000 before tax 🤷♀️
@VivianBercovici@OmarAlghabra@pearson@catsa_gc Last time I flew out of Pearson, they don’t open the screening area until US customs open. And they don’t open until 5 either. You couldn’t pay me to fly to the US out of any Canadian airport though. Cheaper all around to fly out of Buffalo or Detroit.
@citygirl843@CTVToronto You can’t renew kids under 15 online. They mail you a renewal form and want you to mail it back to them…only it takes 4 months to get the new card back. Just went through this for my 9 year old.
@CTVToronto Had this happen to me as well, clinic visit was fine, eye dr appt was fine but the lab wouldn’t accept her card and said I would be billed. I had mailed out her renewal as instructed by the Govt and didn’t get a new card back for 4 months.
@salthenurse08@EcoFashionByBG@birgitomo Then her facility are the ones failing patients, not the people travelling and living a normal life. My facility uses RAT on everybody coming through the doors.
@birgitomo Travelling doesn’t put you at greater risk then going grocery shopping lol, I travel every other weekend to see my spouse and their family and work in Health Care. Do yourself a favour and understand this is now just another seasonal virus.
@bgcrown@CTVToronto Didn’t say it was, I said the quality of the furniture is no different unless you are going to a custom maker like the Amish who do truly use 100% lumber. All manufacturers selling in a store like this are using press wood/wood fillers for their products anymore so why over pay?
@Celiacandthe6ix Lmao, and I’m on #6 what’s your point? Just saying I don’t feel sorry for these gung-ho FT parents. They maybe should have taken a chill pill first and looked at what babies actually need and a $2,000 nursery set isn’t that 🤪
@Celiacandthe6ix If you think St. Jacobs is the only place where Amish live, you clearly need to get out of the city more 😂 Pregnant Women do not need convenience, we are not handicapped.
@Celiacandthe6ix@briangm11@CTVToronto It’s all cheap if it comes from a store, unless you are buying from the Amish, it’s all press wood crap. Take a drive down a back road before spending that kinda money, especially cash.
@genxer52@mirts88@NelsoniiJames22 @RichHaskin @POTUS Not sure why, I haven’t had problems getting what I need based on urgency of the need. My fiancé waited months in the US for urgent but not emergent surgery, except his cost him $5,000 + what he pays monthly for insurance, my appointments and surgeries are completely covered.
@genxer52@mirts88@starfanjan@NelsoniiJames22 @RichHaskin @POTUS BMI can be a factor. Somebody who is 250lbs and 5’1 vs 5’9 is very different. The more obese you are, the higher the risk surgery itself can be, some hospitals won’t deliver a woman who is over a certain BMI because they don’t have the resources. This happens in the US as well.
@mirts88@NelsoniiJames22 @RichHaskin @POTUS Right there with you here in Canada. The US system is stupidly expensive compared to what I pay via my taxes. And I have seen the difference first hand given I’m in a relationship with an American living in the US. I don’t get why they want to keep their system.
It should have never taken this long to do away with Pre-Arrival Testing. I am thankful for the time we have been able to have together again, but it wasn’t without worry or stress trying to book a test to come HOME. 1 more test to go until worry and stress decrease again.
