@GovParsonMO Please step in and do not execute an innocent man. There is so much evidence which puts into question the judgement on Marcellus Williams’ alleged crime. You claim to be saddened by this poor man's death, however you will murder an innocent man tomorrow. Please reconsider.
The first casualty of War is the truth
The second in my opinion is humanity and compassion.
Anyone who can watch people being killed and not want it to stop has turned something off inside.
Hostages need to be returned safe and well. Stop & get them home
#CeasefireNowInGaza
Tomorrow, MPs will be voting on the call for a ceasefire in Gaza. It is a simple moral choice: do you support the indiscriminate killing of human beings, or do you want to stop the further loss of life?
In the aftermath of horror, we need voices for peace and diplomacy. Instead, our government has given the green light to unconscionable death and destruction.
I condemn the targeting of all civilian life. That includes the deplorable acts of terror by Hamas against Israeli civilians. And that includes acts of terror by the Israeli government against Palestinian civilians. More than 11,000 people in Gaza have been killed, almost half of whom are children.
Without a peaceful and political solution, this cycle of violence will go on and on, and it is the responsibility of members of Parliament to demand an end to the ongoing loss of life. We cannot become distracted from our overriding goal: to bring about freedom, justice and peace for all Palestinians and Israelis.
With every passing minute that the bombing continues, another human being is killed. This must end, now.
I will vote for a ceasefire tomorrow, and I will continue to demand the release of hostages, an end to the siege of Gaza, and an end to the occupation of Palestine. I urge colleagues to do the same.
@KerryMP Hi @KerryMP I know your constituents (including myself) are pretty desperate to know if you will be calling for a ceasefire. It’s what we want, and as our representative we hope you do the right thing
Not one mention of the catastrophic flooding in Libya at PMQs.
Where is the concern for the victims of fires in Europe or the droughts across Africa?
Where is the outrage at fossil fuel giants destroying our planet?
Where is the hope for future generations?
Wake up!
More than 11,000 children have been killed or maimed in Yemen – aided by BAE systems, who’ve sold at least £15bn worth of arms to the Saudis.
Should I infer from your tweet a “sneering contempt” for the lives of Yemeni children?
@virginmedia I already am. I’ve been talking to them for over 24 hours. They are useless. I am being charged an early disconnection fee to leave when my contact ended months ago, and they don’t seem to understand what I’m on about when I say I shouldn’t have to pay.
@virginmedia I’ve spent 12 hours trying to get your ‘customer service’ team, to sort my issues. I’m finally trying to leave and it has taken me a day and a half and they still can’t seem to do it, even though I’m no longer in a contract. I will never use your services again.
Share this far and wide, lest anyone forget what a hypocrite Starmer is. This, of course, was posted during Starmer's election campaign. Now he's decided to impose a candidate in Islington North, a constituency held for 40 yrs by Jeremy Corbyn over 10 general elections.
So it continues: Jeremy Corbyn, 56 years a Labour member & 40 years an MP is to be denied the right to stand for the Party in his constituency where he is loved. A man who drew millions to Labour, especially the young. Starmer's hypocrisy of uniting the Party is further exposed.
