@1t1sAdam I totally understand the concerns of the teachers and I also worry about the impact on local bargaining. I still haven’t voted but personally leaning to yes. My hope is we are not dealing with a conservative government next time and we can just have normal bargaining.

@1t1sAdam I think PE are looking out for Ed workers, which ETFO and OECTA have none or very little which makes a big difference. Most of us make less than 40k and are struggling to pay bills. This gets us what they think is the most money quickly. Maybe not the best deal but not bad.

@OhhaiHeather @JBradshaw01 @osstf For better or worse this is the process, we vote on local leaders, then they take our voice to provincial. Our local leaders voted for this after it was presented. Now it will get presented to us and we will vote yes or no. If you don’t like it vote no.

@MelissaLantsman Actually provincial governments underfunding post secondary is causing them to let in more international students that they can charge more for. This making up for the funding gap, but also helping to create a shortage of rental space. But, you knew that already.

@RichardCityNews OSSTF also represents education workers too. Most of us make under $40000 a year. Just so people know the 1.25% they are currently offering will not cover how much inflation has cost over the last 3 years.

@lisa_antoszek @Teachers__Unite When I started we supported both groups of students. We need to get back to that point. All students need to have their needs met. We need boards, unions, and parents to all push this government to properly fund student’s with needs. It will not be easy.
