@gfaust22@MLBBruceLevine I think Tommy John surgery repairs the UCL so this is the 2nd TJ on his pitching arm. First one was early college (2021). Not sure about statistics when/if players recover from 2 TJs in their career. Especially this early.
@amilnal@spotrac I get the main message, but I will offer other analogies. If sports was a capitalism model, LAD would buy out the bottom 5 teams and strip them for assets. Also, salary caps are like Anti-Trust laws that prevent market monopoly. LA dodgers are starting to look like a monopoly.
@usmntonly Everyone needs to relax about Pulisic skipping the gold cup. I know every sport is different, but weβre not sending LeBron, KD, Steph to the FIBA World Cup. That roster is mostly <23 year olds. They come about 1 month early for Olympic games (every 4 years). Players need rest.
@ambjhnret@usmntonly Difference is top 5 leagues in Europe are now done for the summer and get about 2 months off. Except, now they have Club WC which messes with time off and recovery, but which is more evidence that FiFA is out of control with βmore soccerβ.
@TyrusRoseCF97 I thought the same thing. 22K seems small when you average almost 22k now. Plus the product has been awful the last decade. When the team gets good again, theres no room for growth. Donβt companies anticipate growth year over year?
@AlexiLalas Gold Cup is a B level competition at best, despite its lustrous name. Pulisic, and really all top tier USMNT, skipped 2023 as well. Iβm fine with them having an off-season as individuals; unsure how the team collective will come together for 26 WC.
@Moonmudpie43270@Baalzel@tdohrmann@Malka_Sargon Mutations happen all the time with DNA copying (transcription). Many mutations simply are a product of bad copy errors and it means cell/organism death. Most mutations that emerge in a specie, often are used for the competitive advantage it offers.
