I just found out that a real Grindhouse movie was filmed in South Tampa in 1972. This is a rare gem. Originally titled Scream Bloody Murder aka My Brother has Bad Dreams was filmed at a gorgeous house close to W. Bay to Bay Blvd and Church. Directed by the late Robert Emery.

Brief fan service that does not really add anything. I like the use of animation, real life images, and a stunning manga style of Asuka and Shinji that really leaps out at you. Overall it is interesting. I do not think it greatly contributes to Hideaki Anno's grand vision.

Part 2. Several characters make brief appearances like Shinji. This was corny at times and amusing at other times. The short really kicked into gear when the Eva 1 mech appears. Very well animated and executed.
