Today I spoke with @NARUC President Ann Rendahl and First Vice President Jehmal Hudson at #CLEANPOWER26 about what states are doing to meet growing energy demand. With increasing focus on power adequacy and price concerns, fast-to-deploy clean power will be key to getting new generation online quickly and affordably.
In Houston with 8000 energy leaders at #CLEANPOWER26. The state of our industry is growth and resilience. All we need is the opportunity to build cost-effective projects absent political obstruction.

Clean power is jobs, investment in communities, and reliable energy for millions. With $79B invested in 2025, clean power companies are leading US energy production. ⚡️

ACP supports the President’s ratepayer protection pledge, a promising step to ensure the American economy has the affordable, available energy needed to thrive. Local communities deserve to benefit from affordable, reliable, clean power. https://t.co/6S5Xsbc8qH
With demand rising, now is not the time to limit our energy options. Solar and wind power have an important role to play in keeping costs down for American families: https://t.co/sumIXIki6X

Last week the White House and 13 bipartisan governors all agreed that we need to address electricity prices and affordability in PJM head on.
As electricity demand surges, new gas plants just can’t be built fast enough. A new analysis from ACP shows that without wind, solar, and storage, customers face $360B in higher costs over the next decade—the average residential household would see $3,000 to $8,500 in additional electricity costs!
Clean energy is critical for affordability, reliability, and energy security. https://t.co/pLdZiX0y3j
In Davos this morning President Trump again got his facts wrong about wind power. Countries that rely entirely on fossil fuels have a much lower GDP than those that embrace a variety of energy sources. Here in the U.S., the data is clear that clean power lowers costs.
Great discussion at USEA. All sectors in the energy economy agree that the key to national success is consistent policy that enables us all to build critical infrastructure. We’ve all been harmed by ideological Administrations but rather than competing over degrees of unfair policy, let’s compete to power a growing economy.
Secretary Burgum is right that energy costs are baked into everything - so why is the Administration pursuing a half-baked energy strategy? If they are serious about keeping prices low, they must stop blocking wind and solar which are low cost and available today.
.@SecretaryBurgum: "The price of energy is baked into everything... and this administration's committed to winning this war on inflation that was ignited by the Biden administration. @POTUS is winning that war, and we want to keep winning that war—and the one way we do that is make sure that we've got affordable, reliable, U.S. secure energy."
If lowering electricity prices is a top priority, why work so aggressively to take supply off the grid? Clean power is the most available energy being added to the grid today - and we need all energy sources to keep up with rising demand.
The President had to find images from outside the US because accidental bird deaths are rare – a result of strong steps clean power companies take to mitigate risk. @USFWS data shows the Bald Eagle population has risen as wind energy expanded – showing the two can thrive together
Trump is posting more photos of dead birds and wind turbines today.
In one photo he captioned “Eagles going down!”, it’s actually a photo of a red kite from 2010 in Spain.
The other photo is from 2006 in Taiwan.

Eliminating wind and solar from the energy mix would raise energy prices by 25%. That extra cost ultimately shows up in monthly bills for households and businesses – making rising energy costs even less affordable for American families: https://t.co/mLtnrrc7NP.
This bipartisan reform offers a practical path to kickstarting more energy projects that will help meet rising demand and keep costs down for American consumers. https://t.co/Bs5QdnfKSh
The plan under @POTUS is simple—expand affordable, reliable, and secure energy sources in America to provide the United States with the lowest cost, highest performing energy in the world.
Affordability is top of mind for American families. With electric bills skyrocketing, Americans want action to lower energy costs. Wind and solar power must be part of the solution.

At a moment when the cost of living is unrelentingly high and demand for electricity is soaring, policymakers from both parties must recommit to an all of the above energy strategy. It's good policy and a winning message.
What can we learn from these elections? Americans are paying close attention to their everyday costs – and they understand the connection between cuts to clean energy and higher prices.
