@allrockmusic GNR,VH,Aerosmith,Def Leppard
I think all 4 albums are 8/10 +. And though I think Gnr is the best one I have no interest in listening to it or a fan of the band, I’m more likely to play now 1984 more than others here & Aerosmith album has Hangman Jury which i still play a lot.
@XMartinsMusicX Rio from the list followed by The Cure but like all of them - though not listened to Elvis Costello album so I’ll swap that one with Iron Maiden Number of the Beast, which should be on there and I’m not a huge Clash fan so swap with MJ Thriller.
@liverpxxl9 I think it’s more, coming from rumours of course, that he didn’t give the academy time by watching the games and training or lack of communication with the academy bosses during the days between 1st team matches.
@thednicholson@jody_rapier@rocknrollofall Their second album, Soup is even better than the first, which I loved at the time. I hated Soup when I bought it apart from the 1st single; then I saw people raving about it a couple of years back & gave it another go, it’s brilliant & way ahead of its time.
@fonzodad@jonnyrmitch They wrote and recorded walk this way about 10 or 11 years before run dmc. They also have sweet emotion, draw the line, back in the saddle, kings and queens, same old song and dance, nobody’s fault - all classic 70s rock.
@terrychristian@jonnyrmitch Not Aerosmith no way. I admit to detesting everything from about 1989 from them; but their 70s stuff (loved and cult worshiped in US, unknown in the UK) is really solid.
@dbwash1967@jonnyrmitch I get why people are bored of the Beatles, don’t like them or whatever but when people say they’re overrated, when they’ve influenced so much, is dumb. I can only guess these people must be mumble rap fans.
@PaulAndo1987 I’m happy about it; have to be after what could have been had we not made a change; but I worry who pushed for this? Obviously Hughes, but it’s very likely he’s off soon and in his last year of contract; so why trust his decisions if he isn’t fully committed?
@jonnyrmitch Duke Spirit, The Charlatans, Talk Talk.
Also a couple of bands who released amazing debuts that don’t get enough attention - Cooper Temple Clause (Oasis meets Radiohead with Iron Maiden riffs) and Nine Black Alps (Manchester heavy post grunge).
@ItkDestroyer@Chris78Williams You are so immature and dim. Sure there are some ITK spoofers but a club is full of owners, management teams, players & coaches. Some of these people talk to people outside of the club, always happened, always will. Not everything the club’s PR says is what’s really going on.
@GenTXer2@JoeTurn27 Didn’t like his voice so didn’t enjoy the album. However, Scared is one of the best things to ever come out of hair metal. No other song like it.
