Forever and a Game is finished! The last 2 months: full developmental edit, line edit, copy edit, proofing. The (hopefully) final PDF/EPUBs have landed. Cover design is happening now. ISBNs and LCCN are set. 2-3 months away from launch :) It's been a long road... almost there.
@KWBussard_ This sounds really good π I'm going to buy a copy via Amazon to support you, but is there any chance you'd be willing to send me an autographed hardcover. I'll cover cost of book and shipping :)
Impatiently waiting for my last round of beta readers. :) Only two weeks left - I got my book club to agree to read it for me. They've promised to give brutally honest feedback. I wanna move forward sooo badly, but I must be patient. <bites nails>
@Wisteraverse I did exactly the same thing! Betas are loving it so far, and that is all the validation I need. Cannot wait to hit the big green publish button.
I had two writing concepts pop into my head while showering. I did my best to hold them in memory while I finished the shower, dressed, and made it to my computer to note them. Only one survived. π€ͺ
There are a lot of authors out there. I've come up with four different FMC names I like for a new short story, and when I search the web for them, a Goodreads author profile shows up every time. π€£
My debut novel is finally ready for beta readers! Who's interested?
Forever and a Game
Psychological Drama
82k words
A character driven, emotionally heavy psychological drama with an underlying theme of adorable childhood wit, and wonder.
Note: Unofficial/temporary cover
@VickyBall3@vickyweberbooks I'm glad I didn't research writing before I decided to give it a go. Had I known what I was signing up for, I probably would have quit before I started. Now that the end of book one is in sight, I'm beyond thrilled that I've made it this far. Still a ways to go though.
@AriaIgniata I try to plan, honest. But then I start writing, I lose myself in the scene, my imagination begins to take over... And... all kinds of crazy stuff happens. Like my main character arguing with a toad! Yep, that's in the story now. Plot integrated. It wasn't in the outline. π€£
@aubrey_vale1313@klhicks912 I am almost a one genre reader. Fantasy.
Yet, I cannot seem to wrap my brain around writing fantasy! All my story ideas are contemporary. π€Why?? π
@booksbybreezy I'd love to take a look :) I have 0 time for this, but tbh, your hook got me, so I'll find time. Let me know what kind of feedback you're looking for.
100% unrelated note: I'll be looking for beta readers very soon, if interested. No pressure, no strings. π
