This country has a severe lack of patience and a severe abundance of entitlement.
I’m not saying this guy was perfect, but claiming he did a bad job because change wasn’t instant is so short sighted.
We shouldn’t be able to change PMs every 2 years - whichever side.
I wish Uber Japan would simply refuse allowing a dude cycling 2 miles across town to fetch me fried chicken from the conbini across the road from me because the discount coupon overruled putting on trousers.
Normalise this. Every trailer should suggest the film, not give it away. My kingdom for a Spider-Man trailer that didn’t spoil the film’s entire story arc.
Whoever this person is, you left your elementary school photos in this 1992 Second Edition copy of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game I got at a used bookstore
In trying times I recall the brief periods, perhaps a meager hour at a time, when I was actually content with the amount Logan Paul or Jake Paul were being punched in the face.
Using a coin locker at Tokyo Station. I opened it and there was a note inside. In English: "Welcome traveler. May your journey be safe."
I thought it was odd but kind of sweet. Left my bag, closed the locker.
When I came back hours later and opened it, there was a different note: "I hope you had a good day. Travel safely home."
Someone had opened my locker while I was gone and left a note?
Went to the station office to report it. The staff member said "ah, you got a locker with a note. It is not a problem. Is... how do you say... tradition?"
Apparently there's a person who works at Tokyo Station who leaves notes in coin lockers. "We don't know who. Staff or cleaner, maybe. But they leave kind notes for travelers.”
I asked if they opened the lockers. The staff said "no, no. Notes are left when the locker is empty, before you use it. But they time it so you find a note when you open the locker. It's like magic."
I said but there was a different note when I came back. He said "ah, yes. Sometimes they check if the locker is still being used. If yes, they leave a second note. It is to remind travelers what they are thinking of."
I asked if this happens to everyone. He said "no. Is random. Maybe 1 in 100 lockers. It is like finding a lucky coin."
He said people have been finding these notes for years. "Some people collect them. Some people leave notes back. It is like a conversation with a stranger."
I kept both notes. I still have them.
Before I left Tokyo, I went back to the coin lockers. Found an empty one. Left my own note: "Thank you for being kind to travelers. The world needs more kindness like yours."
Closed the locker and walked away. I hope someone found it.
Happy reminder that the original Mobile Suit Gundam compilation movie trilogy is available to watch FOR FREE on the Youtube official Gundam channel (previously Gundaminfo) https://t.co/4rp5FXyoIL
I went to this place bc @JWonggg put me on. I thought this place paid proper homage to Texas BBQ and the staff clearly are passionate about BBQ, so reading/watching that “review” is infuriating
Support your locals. Support the people that give a shit about what they’re doing!
This dude def pissed me off with his crap review after asking for the food truck to do a collab...
Please if you are in Tokyo go support Slice of Life BBQ as they are super passionate

FINISHED MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM (1979) This thread might be really long, as I haven’t had a show impact me this much in months.
I had no real idea what to expect going in, because despite every anime fan knowing of Gundam, it’s shockingly rare to find discussions out of the fandom;
Alex Jones posting a parody mugshot from an Adult Swim comedy bit, trying to pass it off as real, is absolutely hilarious.
The InfoWars acquisition hasn't even happened yet and it's already creating some of the best content I've seen on the internet in years. 😭
Ever since this 30 Rock joke 15 years ago I have been trying to come up with a celebrity-impersonator name as good as Edward James Almost. The closest I have come so far is Mary Elizabeth Instead
