@lilyraynyc Isn't that ......best small coffee machines or best espresso pods? Then use my own reasoning and look at the available varied sources (it worked well), but no, Google has to cannibalize it all.
Scraping websites and having AI summarize them, so that no one visits the websites, is theft.
Training AI on videos, so that it can make new videos that compete with them, is theft.
We are witnessing the largest theft of creative work in history.
Agreed. I put my money on the financial benefit for anyone promoting AI. Why are we being sold it, and it is being pushed so much? I don't remember being pushed into the internet or a mobile phone. I am biased, though, after viewing the biggest plagiarism heist in history!
@ednewtonrex It is like Google, with its monopoly ruling. These go on for years, and they pay out a few million each time while making billions. It is hugely profitable to continue and take the slaps on the wrist.
@brucerdity@TheCinesthetic You would not have an invested interest in taking other people's creative work via using prompts rather than making the effort yourself, would you?
He reveals AI is simply a human expertise laundering machine that steals data without paying royalties. Many of the wordings that encapsulate LLMs and AI resonate with me, so does this.
Famous host Jon Stewart completely dismantles the artificial intelligence industry. He reveals AI is simply a human expertise laundering machine that steals data without paying royalties. Prominent MIT Professor Daron Acemoglu confirms powerful corporations are exploiting us.
@Kitten_Sophie Breath work is an amazing thing and, of course, not a quick fix, but detrimental. Heart coherence breathing for 10 - 20 mins a day, among other breathing techniques, really slows it all down - the CNS has no other option. Peace 🙏
An MIT Media Lab study titled “Your Brain on ChatGPT” found that LLM users “consistently underperformed at neural, linguistic, and behavioral levels.” The tech oligarchs have somehow managed to enshittify thinking.

@stijnnoorman Stupid comparison. I see you have simple ideas that make you rich on your website, too. How long have you been peddling bullshit (human-written)?
Good point. My guess is that they are after the quick money with minimal effort. They have seen people make money doing these things and see an opportunity to jump in.
The thing that confuses me about people who use AI in media is the question of why they’re making that thing in the first place. If you don’t want to write a book, why generate one? If you don’t want to paint, why are you advertising fake paintings?
