Police are saying this was a personal matter not a political matter.
What Happened: Early on July 30, 2025, a man forced his way into the offices of Showcase Magazine in Danville, Virginia, where 37-year-old Councilman Lee Vogler works.
The attacker doused Vogler with a five-gallon bucket of gasoline, chased him outside, and set him on fire.
Response: Vogler was airlifted to a burn center in Lynchburg for treatment. He was reported awake and talking en route, suggesting he survived the initial attack.
Investigation: Danville police are investigating, believing the motive was a personal matter rather than political. The attacker’s identity is not yet public, though Vogler reportedly identified him. Staff witnesses are being interviewed.
Context: Vogler, a long-serving councilman reelected in 2024, is known for his community role and recent appointment to the Virginia Small Business Commission.
Details are still emerging, with no suspect in custody yet.
@CadeCad84010759@Tesla I just bought a MY Juniper two weeks ago and use FSD frequently. Left turns into oncoming traffic are not minor issues. I enjoy FSD; however, it did suddenly veer across a double yellow on a two lane road in the dark while raining once. Required quick remover to correct.
Anyone else think that the latest @Apple iOS 17 is a step down from 16? Keyboard text prompts seem to require more user input the before, and Siri tends to stay activated even when no longer needed.
