They're nerds on this app that actually argue with professional ball players. These are guys who played in the best league in the world and dedicated much of their life to the sport since they were 7, being told by unathletic nerds about the sport. It's comical.
I am NOT in agreement with what the Marlins are doing with their SP throwing their “bullpen” sessions in a mid game relief appearance. Not a good idea. Why would they think it’s a good idea? Pitchers will have a greater chance of getting hurt.

"As soon as he (Sandy) did it, Eury wanted to do it."

We need the best baseball people in the game. Analytics play a role for sure. But they should not dominate. And they certainly don’t teach the game. It’s just numbers, percentages, odds, … real baseball people influence the game on a level most cannot comprehend. You just can’t play a video game or watch it on TV and be able to influence players at the highest level. Just my opinion so there is definitely an underlying vibe coming from the players and they are begging for authentic Baseball.
If the Red Sox ownership is smart they will listen to their post game player interviews and give the players what they deserve.
A team can have the best computer nerds in the world.
But if the players do not believe in it.
It is simply an unneeded distraction that will contribute to an underachieving team.
This is what happens to the great game of baseball when you put pocket protector nerds who never wore a jock in charge of how the teams play the game! Just punch in number, analytics and data into a computer, and nevermind the human element…
Sonny Gray on the early hook...
"I'm the best pitcher in the American League going through the order for a third time. I would've liked to live or die with me in that moment, but that's the competitor I am. You can probably ask the guys in here if they felt the same way."

“I’m the best pitcher in the American League third time through the order. I think that’s a fact. I would have liked to have been trusted in that moment.”

Willson Contreras: "It's not enough when you have talent, or you have data, or you have computers telling you what to do, because this is baseball. The data is here to help us, but at the end of the day, you need experience and veteran guys to win games. There's a lot of stuff I would like to say, but I'll state it like that."

Humans are not robots. Maybe don’t have a “pitch limit” and stop calling pitches from the dugout like an 8U travel coach will help pitchers get more innings. They are trying to be “innovative”. Stop. The answer = Hire more baseball people. @Marlins
@JasonMichaels_@Marlins This is an interesting take. The game of baseball has completely changed in the way it’s played in the last 2 decades, let alone 150 years. What the Marlins are testing would allow the best pitchers to throw more in-game innings. Getting closer to 200.
@cheapseatsgm Pitching is a feel. Pitching with adrenaline and stress WILL definitely cause fatigue quicker. 100%. It’s a really bad idea and I hope the players tell their agents. They will lose more arms to IL and surgery.
Absolute horrible call to take him out only to put another LHP in! Regardless of what happened after it was a bad decision. Front Offices stay out of the dugouts! Let the managers manage!

No. There’s a line between innovation, technology and human beings. This is what you call “overthinking”. Humans are not robots. At least the last time I checked. Stick to what’s been WORKING for 150 years. @Marlins#baseball#pitching
A great tidbit from the Marlins post season presser and Peter Bendix in relation to guys like Junk, Alcantara and Perez coming out of the bullpen. Some things I learned
1. It being player driven is huge. Guys buying into innovation
2. Coaching staff learning and being willing to try it
3. This is going to change baseball at some point
