As for Europe, I note that Italy took a terrible toll pre-vax. But the EU did vastly better than the US per capita, in large part bc it was smarter about vaxing/distancing, etc.

COVID then became a MAGA disease. CDC shows unvaxed 13x more likely to die in 2021-22, and most vaxed deaths were very elderly.

My 3 unvaxed MAGA friends were all under 55.
