6 weeks ago, we tragically lost one of our beautiful dogs, I've barely touched my camera since. It's really hard to see the beauty in the world. And being the companion that she was, everywhere I go, she's been. Everywhere I go, she's not there anymore.
It's been the worst period of all of our lives, and though the fits of sobbing have mostly gone away, the pain truly hasn't. I guess that shows just how important she was to all of us. Nothing will be the same without our beloved Riley. Hug your pets, you just never know.

I don't know how old she was when we got her, but we had her for two years and she was everyone's friend. She loved everyone she met. Especially the kids.
@clicks1222 The brown coloured guy is Charlie, I've had him for 13 years, guessing he's 15 or 16 now.
The white pup is Bailey, she's 10.
The Shepherd is Riley, and she's 3.

I spent a ton of time here as a kid, still come back and visit as an adult from time to time and it always feels the same.
@aliciajeanss There arenโt many places on earth Iโve been that I recognize instantly the way I recognize parts of this drive. My favourite kind of photo is one that triggers a memory like this one does. I swear I can hear the wind ripping past the car windows.
