If you don't follow @aviationarchive you are missing out on some fantastic restored videos of aircraft, many of which I've not seen before. Definitely one of the best posters on X nowadays and one of the few reasons to stay on this (much diminished) platform for.
The Leduc 0.21 was a 1953 French ramjet test aircraft, air-launched with pilot in intake cone. Achieved Mach 0.95 over 284 flights, front part of the fuselage including the cockpit was an escape pod. Government withdrew support and it was abandoned in 1958.๐
