Guys I have a question,my friend is from a private school, and he’s been constantly getting great grades in bio, mostly 95+, he’s bright. He’s worried he’ll get downgraded, even to a h3.The new predicted grades system should avoid these sort of stuff happening,no?. #leavingcert2021
@issu4u pls read this article. Something that needs be to brought up with Norma is the ridiculous drop in H1s that students from fee-paying schools got. It is not fair to those who have worked tirelessly towards a h1 only for them to go down to a h2/h3

Thanks to everyone for all the support over the past few weeks, I hope I helped by providing the facts and some balanced insights from my perspective. I hope you have a safe return to school next week and get what you hope for from #LeavingCert2021 - take care!
I have had an interesting few weeks, in terms of advocacy on #LeavingCert2021
One aspect of it was engaging with politicians and another with the media.
I’ve been asked about it a lot, so here’s a thread of how I engaged on the issue ⬇️
It seems like nothing has been learned from last year. Another meeting needs to be held regarding this. Students from gaeilscoils and private schools are going to get hit hard. And what does "in school alignments" means. Another term for CLASS RANKING?!? @GaryGannonTD
@IsobelMKeane @SherryDaire @AodhanORiordain @labour@issu4u But how is that fair though. Going back that far and using them grades, we are talking about two different state exams which both differ in terms of syllabus length and importance. How can they use them to give a prediction for subjects like Physics, which was only a part of..
Continuous assessment till May 14th would greatly help those who want to do predicted grades, they can work towards a better predicted grade now knowing they have the option, but I get those who want to do sit the exams would want to avoid such assessments.Asse. should be optional
@IsobelMKeane The last point you made about continuous assessments until May, I think that’s fair for those who want to predicted grades, as it gives them a better opportunity to improve on their grades
🚨The ISSU President @ISSU_President will be live on instagram tonight with @Studyclix answering all of your questions.
Be sure to tune in tonight @ 7pm!
@seanplunkett17 I never felt sorry for these guys they never wanted the option of predicted grades. Though Norma should have properly engaged with all unions I’m happy in one way 🤣
