The Red Sox have a 106 wRC+ since April 26th, good for 6th in MLB! 👏

Boston's hitting coach John Soteropulos joins BK to talk about their approach at the plate and how it varies based on the situation.

[MLB Network @MLBNetwork]

“It's highly individual... How you get guys to their performance on the field is very, very specific.” 🗣️

@RedSox hitting coach John Soteropulos broke down his process helping to develop Boston's hitters.

[Baseball America @BaseballAmerica]

Red Sox prospect Franklin Primera DOMINATED the Florida Complex League ⤵️

Primera was the FCL’s purest hitter, and he departed the league carrying a .427/.549/.718 line over 32 games. He produced those numbers through improved bat speed and sound swing decisions, which resulted in a player scouts believe can be at least an average hitter with plus power.

[Christopher Smith @SmittyOnMLB]

Only seven Red Sox homegrown right-handed hitters have had 20+ home run seasons since 2007. Boston has had difficulty developing RHH power. But that narrative might be changing. The Sox have nine prospects w/ 10 or more homers are right-handed hitters:

[Elijah Boyer @Elijah_Boyer7]

I couldn’t be happier to announce that I will a MiLB hitting coach for the Boston Red Sox in 2026.

@DrivelineBB I am forever grateful for the chance you gave me. It’s been a pleasure.

Bet on yourself, and it just might pay off. #DuckBoats #PortlandSeaDogs

[Tanner Stokey @Tstokey]

Meanwhile, this is what we’re looking at for former @DrivelineBB hitting coaches next season

3 MLB Hitting Coaches
4 in Director level positions
4 in Coordinator roles
2 AAA Hitting Coaches
2 AA Hitting Coaches
Many others throughout the rest of MiLB and college baseball with more Orgs constantly reaching out about our staff.

That doesn’t happen being “one dimensional”, what we do works whether you like it or not.

[Trevor Burmeister @T_Burm]

Grateful for the opportunity to join the Boston Red Sox as AA Hitting Coach. Excited to work alongside a first-class organization and a group of exceptional people. Ready to get started!

The best is ahead!

[Jason Ochart @JasonOchart]

RT @Brent_Rooker25: The fact that the idea of “swinging the bat faster is better” is considered new age analytical thinking is insane.

[Jason Ochart @JasonOchart]

@godlikestats Networking is huge too. Definitely recommend going to hitting/baseball conventions and being vulnerable and meeting people, attending “hot stove” type meetups, and even cold emailing/DMing prominent coaches asking for advice.

[Jason Ochart @JasonOchart]

@godlikestats Showcasing your work is maybe the most important. I highly encourage people to share concisely written case studies or write-ups highlighting the improvements their hitters made + how they got there. Major plus if training data in included (Blast, HitTrax, etc)
