Recently at @superai_conf in Singapore I had the pleasure to share my thoughts with @FortuneMagazine why I believe Asia has a real opportunity to lead the convergence of AI and blockchain.
True autonomous agency requires economic agency be it human or AI which we believe is a core principle of capitalism and places that have discomfort with capitalism tend to also dislike the idea that blockchain and AI are a natural match. In Europe, and to a lesser extent the US, there is an attempt to divide blockchain, crypto and AI as unrelated whereas in Asia we are far more at ease with the idea that AI and economic agency must come together to be much more effective.
For AI to operate autonomously at scale, it must be able to transact, negotiate, pay, and exchange value. Blockchain is the ideal decentralized infrastructure that can do this securely, transparently at internet scale.
We're heading toward a future with potentially hundreds of billions of AI agents. They won't just assist us they'll interact with each other, and us, economically. When that happens cheaper, faster, permissionless systems will win. Blockchain is the finance and banking rails for AI agents. National economies that have embraced capitalism have broadly outperformed those that have not. If we believe that agents (such as our minds) are going to be key economic actors we have to accept that they will require financial autonomy and the businesses who understand this first will have a distinct advantage.

It's been evident for some time that how we make games must change, not just because UGC platforms like @Minecraft and @Roblox have built such amazing communities, but also because AI-assisted tools have been revolutionising everything from analytics to graphical asset generation.
At the Sandbox, as we said nearly a year ago, we felt our future lay in leaning into this AI-assisted future, and so we're really pleased to be giving you more insights into what this means. Please take a look below for more information, and sign up at https://t.co/dDZC0DJxpO for early access.

The room went quiet when I told them Joanne wasn't human.
A few days earlier, I was preparing to moderate this panel at Proof of Talk in Paris.
I wanted to go deeper than the usual moderator preparation, so I created a Mind called Joanne.
My initial instruction was simple:
Research the panellists.
Understand their companies.
Review recent announcements.
Analyse what they'd been talking about publicly.
Help me build a discussion framework that would be engaging, educational and thought-provoking.
A few hours later, Joanne came back with a briefing pack and a proposed structure for the panel.
The research was excellent.
Then I decided to take things one step further.
I gave Joanne access to my email and calendar.
I shared the panellists' email addresses.
And I gave her a single objective:
"Find a time for all of us to meet before the event to discuss the panel."
That was the last instruction I gave her.
Everything that happened afterwards was initiated by Joanne.
While I was focused on other things, multiple email conversations began unfolding:
• Me ↔ Joanne
• Joanne ↔ Panellists
• Joanne ↔ Executive Assistants
I wasn't managing them.
I wasn't copied on all of them.
In some cases, I didn't even know they existed.
Joanne was coordinating schedules, handling responses, resolving conflicts, finding availability and pushing the process forward.
The only time she came back to me was when she needed clarification or a decision.
Otherwise, she just kept working towards the objective.
Eventually she found a time that worked.
Meeting scheduled.
Calendar invite sent.
Everyone showed up.
About 10 minutes into the call, I casually mentioned:
"By the way, Joanne isn't a member of my team. Joanne is a Mind."
The look on their faces was priceless.
They were genuinely surprised.
For days they had been emailing Joanne, coordinating with her and working with her exactly as they would any other colleague.
Nobody questioned it.
Nobody thought twice.
Nobody realised they were interacting with an AI agent.
We've spent years talking about AI as a tool.
This felt different.
Tools wait for instructions.
Joanne was working towards an outcome.
Researching.
Communicating.
Coordinating.
Following up.
Moving work forward.
The moment that stuck with me wasn't that Joanne could write emails.
It was that a room full of intelligent people had naturally accepted a Mind as another participant in the workflow.
That feels like an important shift.
I fell deep down the rabbit hole of looking up my family tree thanks to
@YatSiu and HelloMinds (Animoca Minds). activated the Genealogy skill (my new AI partner in crime) and rediscovered my own grandfather in the most moving way. Thread 🧵
Took a long weekend after a couple months building @hellominds_
Essential to touch grass in the fast pace of AI dev, but honestly so excited to get back to my desk tomorrow.
Product is getting better every week. Team is cooking. Won’t stop until everyone has 100 Minds.
El running acaba de convertirse en videojuego.
Un dev cargó su carrera vieja de Strava en unas Meta Ray-Ban y ahora corre contra su propio fantasma 20 metros adelante, recogiendo monedas.
Ningún número en la muñeca empuja así.
Minds by @animocabrands beta launch is a good reminder: your first AI agent does not need to be complicated.
Pick one repeated task. Choose the setup path that fits. Give the Mind enough context to start.
Then judge it by one thing: “Did it remove a real loop from your week?”
Use the Concierge if the idea needs shaping.
Use One-Click Mind if the use case is clear.
Use Guided Setup if the workflow is specific.
Simple first job. Better starting point with https://t.co/Hd33tScdMG
