Took an easy run and made it challenging. Ran the out with the wind at my back and the back right into a steady wind. Got to be ready for all race day condition possibilities! Leave nothing to chance. #totlrunning#newyearnewyou#runningdetails
Relearned a valuable winter running lesson. You’re better off not running if you A)cannot run your normal stride or B)are forced to run on the snow narrowed streets. Started my run checking off A and B which is not smart so shut the run down #totlrunning#safetyfirst
Winter running is about getting time on the legs(TOTL) so to me it’s all productive; don’t worry about pace per mile or distance covered just run for the joy of running!

Couldn’t agree more! Just make sure to set some goals you know you will achieve, some that take max effort/focus and some that may sound unreachable.
This running gig is hard so give yourself daily fist pumps!
Full disclosure post; bombed the “Wild Card Time Trial” for the week. Mismanaged schedule/weather on Tuesday postponed it to Wednesday. Track unavailable so went to roads for out & back with heavy negative split(6:16/5:53), onto the next. @UARunning@Nike#totlrunning
Brutal conditions for round 2 of “Wild Card Time Trial” 3K XC. Happy birthday to me..ugh! Goal was anything under 11:30 so should be happy with 11:14 but analytical about my terrible finish. Will adjust training accordingly. @Nike#Vaporflys#totlrunning#runningchallenges
Round 1 of “Wild Card Time Trial” went better than expected. Ran 19:09.8 and crushed goal time of 19:30-19:40. Proves even more that we spend a lot of time conquering ourselves; I wasn’t going to beat myself! Challenge yourselves, you never know what greatness can come of it!
