@jeffhowls @_delconte @RodneyTerry nothing against Miller, its just sad to see how AD set RT up for failure.

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@jeffhowls @_delconte @RodneyTerry well when you get 7 million in NIL to recruit anyone can do it! 😂

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@_delconte Giving @RodneyTerry pennies for NIL to set him up for failure but leak that you gave new guy 7 MILLION is not very Christian my man.

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@kyleumlang Looks about white! 😉

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@bjonesy23 facts

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@TxBallCoach40 @byBDavis @_delconte @RodneyTerry Nope they came because of a strong recruiter! Just think if he had some real money!

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@hornsfan722 @byBDavis They are earning WAY more now than they did in 2021
Math is not an apinion

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@hornsfan722 @byBDavis Not even close to the numbers we are dealing with now. These guys are asking for millions!

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@markacadena @byBDavis At least you are honest with your racism. @_delconte could take a lesson from you

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@hornsfan722 @byBDavis that was before NIL that's why. Its way different now

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@BakerTh19422312 @_delconte @RodneyTerry I read that they already gave the new guy 5million for NIL It was so obvious that @_delconte tried to set him up for failure so he can hire who he wants. I guess it's a coincidence that its always a white guy.

@BigOnBasketball Such a great post. I know he will do great someplace else where he gets actual support from the department

Before we officially move on to the Sean Miller era I would be remiss not to share a few parting thoughts on Rodney Terry.

I'll start here:

What he did with that Elite 8 team was nothing less than exceptional.

Beard's team this, Beard's team that. You don't simply waltz into the Elite 8. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Rodney Terry was the man for the moment.

I'll always remember the way he loved his players, the way his players rallied behind him. I'll remember the way he saved basketball for Dylan Disu.

Texas was right to move on from Terry. The program was stale and the coaching just wasn't good enough. But make no mistake, he WAS setup to fail. Middling NIL support is tough to overcome for ANY coach. And Sean Miller, hopefully, won't face that same challenge.

For RT to succeed at Texas he was going to have to be so exceptional that he could completely flip the narrative and prove to the entire fanbase and the administration that he could, at some point, deliver a national championship.

And, as a head coach, Rodney Terry was not exceptional. At times he was good, but never exceptional.

All that to say, I think Rodney Terry deserves the utmost respect. He was put in a nearly impossible situation and handled himself with class, delivered some magical moments and ultimately delivered 4 tournament wins in 2 years, which is more than the previous 12 years combined.

It's been a rough go for him on this app but I sincerely hope Texas fans remember him fondly and show him the respect and admiration I believe he deserves.

I will always remember him for moments like this:

@ForYouI3 @LLex41 @kbohls Terry was a head coach for 12 years prior .. Knock it off

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@GregSankey @Vol_Hoops @SEC This is why @RodneyTerry did not deserve to be fired

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@ForYouI3 @LLex41 @kbohls so tell me why both white coaches got 5mill and Terry had to fight for 3mill and got no support from the AD ?common man

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@kbritt64 @aterryilme34 @kbohls Spoken by a privileged unaffected white person! And I'm a white man who just happens to be more honest

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@jasonjul81 @LLex41 @kbohls ABSOLUTELY race matters! They take care of their own! Why didn't they want to pay RT what they paid Beard and what they are now paying this dude. All the players are shades of brown and they bring in the money for the man!

[JASON ROBERTS @JasonR51884]

@legendofchoke Tres Leches !! @_delconte you should know what he is talking about because you are part Mexican. 🤠
