FINALLY got the timing set installed on the '48. had to locate a woodruff key. after several phone calls, and a trip to a friends place we found the right one. then, it refused to go in, so it took several tries, and it finally allowed the crank gear to go on properly.
Finally just went for it today and lifted the bed onto the M37. Tired of looking at it on its side. And yep, i lifted all 600lbs of bed by myself, no help, no hoist, nothing, just determination. Serious. #m37#oldtrucj#militarytruck#classiccar

Well, today i had to do some service on one of my drivers. The Cummins has been leaking oil from one of the valve cover gaskets. I changed the uppee gasket and well see if that does the trick

Prepping more parts for paint. Pressure washed the engine bay on the '48 Dodge along with the radiator and some other parts. The radiator appears to be holding pressure with no leaks. Amazing since it shows no signs of repairs, or re-coring. Its the original from 1948!
