Unified in the midst of tragedy. Hurricane Helene washed away part a horrific event but people from all over America came to the aid #neverforget

In case anyone has forgotten for many or us Hurricane Helene was like a war zone. This was taken in WNC days after the hurricane as the 101st and 82nd were taking up residence at our headquarters at the @CampingWorld campus in Marion NC. Between the destruction and rotary wing aircraft flying overhead it was as described by many as a “war zone” what do you think ???

Incase anyone has forgotten this is what the aftermath of Hurricane Helene looked like. Add the constant sight of Blackhawks and Chinooks flying overhead and it really felt like a war zone. Rich and I were assessing damage in Pensacola in his @PolarisRZR because it was one of the only modes of transportation viable early on in many areas due to its small size. Many roads were impassable for months in many communities and in some cases are still.

We got to have a discussion with @ChuckEdwards4NC in DC about the continuing needs of hurricane victims and our ideas about disaster preparedness in WNC. We are appreciative of his time and his ear. We win together 🙌🙌

As many of you already know Camping World - Marion, NC our home for hurricane relief efforts in Western North Carolina has closed down. This has been extremely difficult as we have all been so close for these last 8 months. We will continue to operate a bit longer out of their campus and will ultimately continue to provide relief until every Helene affected house, bridge and building and ultimately lives have been rebuilt. I can not thank @CampingWorld, @marcuslemonis ,Alan Good and Marion NC Camping Crew enough for being part of the healing process in WNC. PLEASE TELL THEM THAT WE APPRECIATE THEM ALL !!!!!

#RoyWilliams is helping to reduce debts for #hurricanehelenevictims and this is awesome 👏 but the volunteers ( some of which are rapidly approaching financial ruin ) could use a similar program. I guess I need to get to work on this.

Co founder of our non profit Project Your Home and 3 tour combat vet hanging the American Flag inside of the donation center aka technical institute that @CampingWorld has been allowing us to distribute hurricane supplies from. A beautiful sight for sure.
