@SgtSchulzED @hesaidwutsports @BillSimmons I don't think you are wrong but what does this say about the state of the NFL big picture? Cousins is 12 years in the league, makes a freaking fortune and what, he doesn't have the guts or the initiative to just do the thing that 50 million fans knew he should do? Pathetic really
@BillSimmons Is there a stat of all the times Brandon Staley made a moronic "analytics driven" play call that should have cost his team the game but didn't? Because I seem to remember this happening frequently over the last 3 seasons and invariably he always come out of it on the right side.
@MySportsUpdate Ordinarily I would applaud this. Except Sean Payton once ripped the former coach of the team he just "led" to a 50 point hiding as giving the "worst coaching job in the history of the NFL". So really I wish that FG was kicked and Payton had it rammed down his throat.
@BleacherReport@wojespn Yeah because Adam Silver has definitely shown he's a "hard line" leader that should be respected and the type of guy who would do that right? How Morant played another minute of NBA ball after he took his gun on a plane to Denver says all you need to know about the situation
What's clear now is that @JaMorant's brain functions more like a child's than an adults. It couldn't recognize the free-pass he was given the first time around and because there were no genuine consequences he has no problem just doing the same stuff all over again. #NBA
@worldietv @PHXFansApp That's 100% correct. There is no "spectrum" of what is allowed of not. It doesn't matter if the instigating incident and action from Jokic is minor - it's not a sliding scale (ie. more instigation justified by more retaliation). The fine is pathetic and what precedent now exists?
Just incase anyone was interested. Jokic's 25k fine is 0.076% of his 33 million dollar salary. Boris Diaw, Amare Stoudemire and the 2007 Phoenix Suns collective heads are exploding right now. #NBA#NBAPlayoffs#PhoenixSuns#DenverNuggets
@Bickley_Marotta 100% right and the first thing I thought of. Should Stoudemire and Diaw have been suspended a game AND they didn't even make contact with the aggressor (in that case Horry)? Probably not but they were because it's the rule. Argue the rules all we want - IT'S THE RULE (shrug)
So when we all see @TigerWoods out there in clear pain - both physically and emotionally, are we still in agreement that it's preposterous and ridiculous that he should should just, god forbid, retire and go enjoy his life? Our selfishness as viewing "fans" needs a reality check
@mrdanwalker It's funny to me people on take on this "empathetic" POV only after visual confirmation his body is wrecked. Prior to that, every Tiger "fan" finds the concept that he should just retire and be (for example) a good dad, completely abhorrent and ridiculous.
@surrender_index This outlines the fundamental issue with quantifiable "analytics". They by nature can't take into account anything other than a field position, game clock, down & distance. Now think about why punting was 100% the right call. These "analytics" are simply f-ing stupid sometimes
@charger_j@MattVerderame What does "originality" have to do with it? 1+2=3 -that's not original but it's still right. Can't wait to hear how these Chargers "fans" react if Bosa, Williams and possibly others aren't on the field next weekend. Btw this narrative was at play well before the game even started
@MattVerderame The logic of "keeping momentum" going is all well and good - so to that degree playing them in the first half, just as the Bucs did is defendable. But, and there is always a but - there is absolutely no defense for wheeling them out in the second half - at all. It is nonsense.
Wow @Jaguars - that's beyond puzzling. All you need to do is kick that FG - which you did, but why not run the clock again instead of putting @Trevorlawrencee in harms way like that? I actually can't believe he's okay after that hit - that could easily have so much worse. Unreal.
Let's just hope that @ZachWilson at least says the right thing at the press conference later tonight. Career at the #NYJets is clearly over but he could sure help himself with a moment of high EQ and maturity when asked the questions he surely knows are coming. Get ya popcorn...
