We’ve traded what’s worthy for hashtags, tweets and catchy phrases. We perform and say it’s His presence. We prophesy out of our soul and prostitute what should be pure. We cry revival but only continue to regurgitate what draws the masses.
It would seem by the first-century church’s experience, Christianity was not a casual thing. Following Jesus was dangerous. It’s not the latte-sipping social club we’ve made it out to be. It could cost you your life. We have to get back to daring to be dangerous again.
