🏃‍♂️ Definitely have data that ⤴️ CAC in endurance athletes but also some with non calcified plaque too
🏃Mechanisms not fully know: could be diet from training so many hours a day, could be environmental exposures, could be so the hemodynamic stress
🏃‍♂️ Still fitness is protective regardless of CAC
🏃don’t exercise restrict asymptomatic athletes with CAC!
