@SergeantSov Retrospectively? Yes. But at that poing bungie will die and you'll never see anything destiny related ever again. Isn't it just better if bungie survives?
@lisaissuperdumb That's exactly what I'm saying. The guy said that if marathon was good it wouldn't be hated. I'm saying that whatever bungie would've made that wasn't more destiny it would've been hated regardless of the quality of the game
@DarksMusics@PolishTamales The tactic is buy our slop (or at least don't hate it just because it's not destiny) so we don't shutdown which is very different
@JakeParkerLIVE The problem is most of the costs come from the "superficial" part that has little to do with gameplay. As long as more than half of the budget goes to animations, graphics, cinematics, voice acting, famous actors etc. The gaming industry will never be fixed
@Daker_7@basedganyu Destiny 2 was barely self sustainable even at his peak lmao, it has been a well know thing for ages since the separation from activision. They absolutely had to diversify their income with different games
@bungieman28 Destiny story is good only as "continuous experience" if you played every expansion and every season since destiny 1 and if you are a lore nerd. Most people didn't do that, they aren't even close. For the way 99% of the players experienced the story yeah, I'd say it's pretty mid
@J0nSomething@Menni_Nero@IGN You also have to understand there's nothing that comes close to destiny, whatever bungie would've made it would've never been something destiny fans "wanted to play" because the only thing they want to play is more destiny
@lisaissuperdumb Bro lmao. There have been hate campagains towards Games for far far sillier reasons. Here we are talking about cutting funding for one of the biggest franchises ever. No matter what game bungie made it would've been 100% hated regardless
@MaestroKnux@fangzAH Generally speaking yes. But it's not completely false either in this case considering that bungie it's risking to be closed, and low chance of d3 happening if marathon succeeds it's still higher than the 0% chance of it happening if bungie closes
@FayoxV Some resources got cut from destiny to make marathon obviously, but the fact D2 is not sustainable is undeniable. You cannot have a game that crumbles the moment it doesn't have entire games worth of budget exclusively dedicated to itself just to barely break even
@mark_SC_guy@KnownAsSys People don't have to buy marathon if they don't like it, but at the same time it's also incredibly stupid to actively try to boycott it when it's made by the same studio that is also close to being shutdown
@mariotomich The thing is that you gain very little amount of muscle after the first years (assuming you train correctly) . So all these 10+ years transformations got 80/90% of their results in the first few years
@Rakeshhkumaar Plenty of countries in Eastern Europe that were communist until not that long ago, go to those people and tell them you want communism, see what their reaction is
