Coinciding with the date of the Reveille's first post-Katrina edition, I told the story of the LSU student journalists who covered the tragedy as it encroached on campus, and who juggled the duty to tell a story and the torture of living it.

The Reveille won seven regional awards at the SPJ Region 12 conference, including Best All-Around Student Newspaper. I’m so proud of earning this recognition. It’s truly been an awesome year for us.
The Society of Professional Journalists Region 12 Mark of Excellence awards recognized the #LSU Reveille and #Tiger TV for outstanding student journalism, honoring various winners and finalists.

If the Reveille impacted you, if you've ever read an article of ours that made you think or informed you, please consider giving. Any amount helps!
I wrote more about why you should give here:

This week is The Reveille's annual fundraiser, and so far we've raised over $10,000. That's a record pace for us. But there's two days left, and we want to end with a bang! Please donate here to support the next generation of student journalism: https://t.co/8nnCXc9AVb
The Reveille had a historic year, and I want to leave it behind in a good place as I finish my time as Editor in Chief. Donations like this sent me to leadership conferences and SEC football games around the country, and we'd like to keep giving those career-altering experiences.
Will Wade at BTR tonight to reporters: “They’re gonna kill me if I start answering questions. I’m trying to follow more rules this time.” 🤣🤣🤣

This is probably the one time Flau’jae and I will ever have ANYTHING in common but today was also my last time in the PMAC before I graduate.
Covering #LSU women’s basketball has been one of the best experiences I’ve had and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
What a ride🫶🏾
incredible story on the state of affairs for mens basketball at LSU. So many students are leaving before tipoff that LSU is now threatening their season ticket.
Kyle Williams is not coaching in the Texas Bowl, per a team spokesperson. Jermauria Rasco, a former LSU player who has been an analyst the past two years, will coach the defensive tackles.
The #LSU Board of Supervisors will consider an official change in bylaws tomorrow to codify their move to bring back the Baton Rouge chancellor role and hire both Jim Dalton and Wade Rousse.
Also of note - the president will now appoint campus chancellors, not the Board.
