There was a time when a show would premiere and get 22 episodes. Then take 3 months off for the Summer, and return in the Fall for another 22 episodes. Funny thing, as the series kept coming back every year, the audience would grow and be more invested. Who would've thunk it?

seasons being released all at once is another issue. you wait years then finish in a few days. cliffhangers are resolved just by clicking next episode. little room for suspense, theories or discussion when what happens next is immediately available. less engaging in my opinion.

If you’re currently watching Lioness, you’ll probably be wondering how these actors are carrying out their roles so well.

Rodriguez, the lady who played Capt. Carrillo in S2, had to train with the Navy SEALs, carry heavy weights, do push-ups and go through serious physical training just to fit the role the director wanted.

Oliveira (Cruz) also went through weapons training, strength training and stunt training. She trained for about 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, pushing her body to match the physicality of a real operative and making every movement look authentic.

You always wonder why Cruz looks like someone who has suffered and been through a lot, that is the effect of sunburn and lack of sleep before filming.

Zoe (Joe) also went through similar training, including working on her walking posture, gun handling and other details.

We can argue that these actors are being paid huge money, which is true.

We can argue that the movie budget is hugeee, which is also true.

But you can’t tell me that’s the only reason productions over here get basic things wrong.

Are you telling me there is no videographer or cameraman on set who understands how a camera should be handled?

Few years ago, people were dragging them because of how male and female actors dressed in court.

You can’t tell me there are no lawyers who are actors that they can consult.

Or the ridiculous hospital scenes they always show.

Okay, maybe they don’t have the money to pay a doctor as a consultant. Fine.

But don’t they have personal doctors? Family doctors? Friends who are doctors? People they can simply ask, “Is this how this works?”

There are so many basic things that don’t require a Hollywood budget.

We can argue about money, equipment, production value and all that. Those things matter.

But some mistakes are just basic research and attention to detail.

And honestly, sometimes it feels like they just don’t care.

So after a shoot yesterday evening, we were eating and our host put on Colors Of Fire and we were all so annoyed by the amount of AI was in it, I was glad that I wasn't the only one that found it repulsive.
