@CrawfordTartan@ScoutTom_ I had no problem with the job Moyes did post Dyche with exception of lack of young player development and then the shocking last 7 weeks. Aznou going on loan smacks of getting him away from the manager. Dibling and Armstrong need game time, the committee must dictate that to him
@CrawfordTartan@ScoutTom_ I suspect Moyes accepted that TFG wanted Dibling and Aznou for development without any intention to start them when he had Grealish and N’Diaye plus Mykolenko in front of them. He probably viewed it as a distraction. No committee last summer meant no real ethos or accountability
@TacticallyMatt Not a surprise, suspect that it could have been £20m on George or this bid. My guess would be if you ask 100 Evertonians, 90% would favour buying Bowen even given his age. If Bowen replaced N’Diaye (if he’s going), I would be ok with that at this price but I would want George too
@RyanSoccerAA@PatricRidge That’s fair, too much of his activity is too far from the last 3rd but he also doesn’t particularly link the play well with striker or midfielders and offers little crossing. His game is cutting inside when dribbling but I think teams can adjust to handle him as he won’t pass it
@RyanSoccerAA@PatricRidge Totally correct Ryan. Talking down Dibling and Armstrong last season was v poor. Garner and Brathwaite is a good model, show ambition and we keep them. N’Diaye is a different - his output doesn’t match a £60m valuation, it’s a positive if that’s on our terms
@RyanSoccerAA@PatricRidge We have to be clever with our signings ideally younger players we can develop. If we are showing ambition, we can retain players but the decision to take a large profit or retain the player will be selective and should be on our terms. It will be a process to get there
@PatricRidge This is 100% correct Patric and I don’t think we will get there. It’s the basic difference between a big club and small club, now we have owners with money willing to invest and a stadium that isn’t holding us back financially. We have to think with a big club mentality
@PatricRidge@KieranJ_1979 Would agree as don’t think he has enough pace or is defensively sound enough for the system we have been playing. There isn’t a special trait which you could really develop but we have let him down badly too
@PatricRidge@KieranJ_1979 The way he was never given any chance and when he did at Forest and Villa, he played at least ok then was bombed again. Frustrating as always felt he had more to offer but has never been developed by successive managers
@DavidArrow04@TheCricketerMag@GeorgeDobell1 Probably McCullum’s idea as usual. Blundell has been a major difference, his keeping yesterday was outstanding. Feel a bit sorry for Rew
@DavidArrow04@TheCricketerMag@GeorgeDobell1 I think Cox’s innings last week was his first red ball knock since July 2025. I know there was some injury time off but that’s not going to work ever
It's a hot day but NZ are building their lead without breaking a sweat. Too easy for Nicholls/Ravindra, who have batted sensibly. Eng become ragged too quickly and once they're in that spiral, they unravel

@DavidArrow04@TheCricketerMag@GeorgeDobell1 Session 1 Day 2 was abysmal. Lacking Robinson, Atkinson and Stokes was going to impact but who decided that game plan was a good idea? One day England will realise that playing your best keeper like Blundell has a significant impact especially the pressure exerted by standing up
@DavidArrow04@TheCricketerMag@GeorgeDobell1 One major issue was also a lack of red ball cricket for Bethel, Cox and Archer. I have a problem with players that are unprepared for the challenge of Test cricket due to their poor scheduling
