@ericweinstein What is the alternative here? Over the last several presidential terms you’ve had party politics interfere in the legal system (wrt justice selection), when in theory you should have a nice clean separation of powers.
@DylanRMuir The good thing about exponential growth curves is they respect politics. And the good thing about politicians is they know so much about exponentials. So I’m sure waiting a week will be absolutely fine..... until it’s not.
@camincoll Although...if we get all of the MPs to build cubbies, waterslides, Lego and whatever else can keep them occupied (finger painting maybe), then we can just let experts in the public service do their job and manage this crisis without constant interruptions to produce reports.
@BretWeinstein@BretWeinstein Having re-read the letter a few times, what I think it is missing is co-signituritories from the centre of politics.... But the key ethos of the text seams robust to me (though a little dramatic).
@CiaraEJones@mlandryMP@mattjcan @AnnastaciaMP @WINNews_ROK@WINNews_TVL The hospitals in regional Queensland (North, Central, West etc) have very limited capacity. Many of the health centres in smaller communities have no ventilators at all and the population is elderly... this is worth considering.
@DanTehanWannon You are wrong. This virus spreads with social interaction, parents, teachers and other members of the community meet twice per day to drop children off and pick them up.... this leads me to the assumption that you are trying to build ‘herd’ immunity.
@Uber to the rescue ! Terrible taxi experience (who do these people think they are), got out of the cab and ordered an Uber. Super polite driver, clean car and prompt as per usual. #amazingdigitalexperience
