As you point out if Bushmaster's goal was to target young, "violent" men, than the crime stat results revealed this to be the worst marketing strategy ever and hence it wasn't their strategy

The comments by WAPO readers I read were mostly disappointing to me. A lot of ignorance displayed IMO.

@davidyamane As I read the chapters, I can't help but think is any of this unique to being shot or is this just a natural response to all sorts of trauma? Car accidents, work accidents, diseases or other illnesses to list a few examples.

The rifle has to be select-fire, chambered for an intermediate power cartridge, and be relatively light and compact to meet the technical definition of assault rifle. @khalil_spencer Nope. I think the folks who run that Duke group are generally anti-gun types so any ruling that expands citizens' ability to possess or use guns lawfully is met with disdain and some tortured logic. "Bruen is unworkable", my paraphrase of this typical attack vector.
