@TrustJesusAlone@AloneJesusSaves “Believe to receive” sounds like a contract to me.
Sign on this dotted line and I’ll save you.
I thought it was a covenant?
@AloneJesusSaves It’s a covenant not a contract. “Believe and be saved” is a declaration not a conditional statement.
It is not “sign in this dotted line and I’ll save you”.
@AloneJesusSaves You’ve turned “believe”
Into a work.
One person will be in hell because they didn’t believe and one will be in heaven because they did believe.
The one is heaven can boast to the one in hell
@Elohim_Gadol It isn’t within human capacity to force ourselves to believe something if we don’t believe it.
I can’t force myself to like broccoli if I don’t like it.
People don’t reject God. They reject their misconceptions about him not realizing he is their most fundamental desire.
@ChristIsComing5 You just gave a “to do” list on how to save yourself.
Christ handles 99.99% of it then we have to do our part?
If God is not willing that any should perish then none will perish. He is actively drawing all of mankind to himself and every knee will willingly bow and tongue confess
@GoodShepherd316 Why do you turn faith into works?
If one is in heaven because of faith and another is in hell because of no faith then it is you that saved yourself and can boast about it.
We are saved by Christs faith. He lived the perfect life and kept perfect faith as our representative
@DazzerG123 @brennusthemenac All are invited into the gates that are never shut.
Revelation 22: 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.
They must be cleansed first
@DazzerG123 @brennusthemenac True. We must be baptized by fire.
Matthew 3: 11 “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
@DazzerG123 @brennusthemenac 1 Corinthians 1: 30And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption.
Christ is our sanctification
@DazzerG123 @brennusthemenac We are saved by the faithfulness of Christ. Christ kept perfect faith. His baptism is our baptism
Romans 3: 3 What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God? 4 By no means!
Adam condemned all but Christ brings life to all
@DazzerG123 @brennusthemenac Wel he does accept all as they are. “While we were sinners, Christ died for us”.But then he intends to transform us all and burn away our impurities. Mark 9:49 All shall be salted with fire”.Christ dying for all sinners is an atemporal event.
@DazzerG123 @brennusthemenac He hates sin because of the harm it causes his children. It’s logically impossible for God to hate what he creates. Sin is merely a blip on the horizon of the infinite. Sin is temporary bondage but it will be all purified by fire.
@DazzerG123 @brennusthemenac 1. Lamentations 3:22–23
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
@AloneJesusSaves This is a great message to encourage the world to not reproduce.
How unloving must we be to risk bringing a child into this world that has good odds of suffering in hell forever?
If we really believed this we should not take the risk.
@HisBloodSaves If one person is in heaven because they believed and another person is in hell because they didn’t believe then the one in heaven can boast about that.
Belief has been turned into a “work” because we humans can’t stand pure grace. We must do our part. Christ handles 99.99%
