As a scientist [adjusts glasses], I decided to apply a highly advanced scoring methodology to The Mandalorian And Grogu:
Audio/Music: 10/10 - Ludwig Göransson continues to manipulate my nervous system directly through sound waves.
Puppets/Droids: 7.5/10 - Excellent practical effects, but I require at least 23% more tiny creatures pressing random buttons.
Story: 6.5/10 - Fun, but the narrative probability distribution could have used more entropy.
Characters: 9/10 - Din + Grogu remain scientifically engineered for emotional attachment.
Overall enjoyment: 7.5/10 - Despite methodological concerns, dopamine levels remained statistically significant throughout.
If I could alt anything to make the story (spoiler alert incoming!!) more spicy, I’d introduce a twist at the end where Rotta turns and takes control over the remaining Hutt criminal empire. His change of character influenced by dark forces that want Grogu and thus, a Dathomir witch had secretly cast a spell after witnessing the two getting along. The movie fades-out with Rotta standing tall, holding his battle axes, head to one side as his new legion gather behind him [Rotta’s theme starts playing loud!].
@StarWarsDaily_ I thought Hutts were a slug/gastropod-like alien species. And strength training would likely build thicker internal and body-wall muscle rather than show human-style visible muscles such as abs, pecs, and biceps.
This guy built a mini AI farm out of 4 Nvidia boxes
It does not look like a data center.
It looks like a stack of small machines sitting next to a laptop.
But each box is a DGX Spark with Grace Blackwell inside, 128GB unified memory, and enough room to run models normal gaming GPUs cannot even open.
Using the launch price from the article, 4 of them is almost $12,000 of local AI compute on one desk.
That sounds expensive until you compare it to cloud GPUs.
A serious AI builder can burn $1,500 to $3,000 a month renting A100s and H100s for client work, fine-tunes, agents and 70B models.
He basically moved that bill from the cloud into hardware he owns.
4 Nvidia boxes. 512GB unified memory. No hourly meter running in the background.
No rented GPUs eating the margin every time an agent runs too long.
The funny part is most people still think local AI means a slow laptop running a toy model.
Meanwhile guys like this are stacking compute at home.
Save this, local AI is turning into the new mining farm.
Same with my kids (6 & 9). They have a Switch Lite each and share practically every first party Nintendo game. We do family games on the Switch 2 + big screen like Mario Kart, Smash and Mario Party. I’ve managed to keep them off iPad games by locking it down to ‘breakfast time Netflix’ only and school activity apps but it’s not easy to lock down and requires frequent permissions review.
@Rando9031@MissPookems Love remake/rebirth but would be so perfect if we could additionally have a 1 game remake of the original with exactly the same perspective, gameplay and story. Pre-rendered with 3D characters but done with today’s best graphics and full 4k / 60fps.
