For all of November I am trying to listen to more music so I will be reviewing 30 Albums for 30 Days for 30 Tweets. I'm catching up on new releases and some of the most acclaimed albums of all time, but feel free to drop me suggestions, too. #PopMusicMonth
@tombreihan In the process of making a mega 2010's playlist (2,010 songs) to prepare for a trivia competition on that decade's music. Any suggestions for a song, artist, or album from that era that should be in a time capsule? Here's what I've got thus far https://t.co/Qbr5LqvPNs
@tombreihan Just wanted to let you know I've officially read every entry of The Number Ones so far. Took me a while to get caught up with the 60's stuff. Thanks for a decade of reading. Your recent columns are some spectacularly fun writing btw even when the songs are so-so
@electrolemon Geeks Who Drink does really good pop culture (mostly) trivia at bars all over the area basically every day (except saturdays). Check out their website for one close to you
@DougKezirian I'm a Rockies fan and put money on under 8.5 longest losing streak to try and make this season interesting and it's been a crazy sweat. Losing streaks of 6, 8, 8, and 6 (current) thus far. Hoping Coors variance prevents any super prolonged stretch of losses.
Is this the norm for player props that involve averages? They round up to stay consistent between stat-keeping and betting lines? Do you think the book would similarly view it as a push if CP3 got those 2 extra assists and pushed his total to 7.402?
@JoeFortenbaugh Reaching out to commiserate (I seem to remember you sharing this pick on ESPN Bet Live, but could be mistaken) and to see if you've seen anything like this before (cont...)
And when you look at totals from the season you'll see that CP3 put up 605 AST in 82 G. 7.378 APG. So the UNDER technically did hit, but it has been credited back as a push because of rounding up. Incredibly close as another 2 assists would've brought him to 7.402 APG...
@tombreihan Studying for a trivia competition in New Orleans where there is very likely to be some tough music trivia on Louisiana natives or groups formed there. Any tips on good music from the area that I'm missing in this list?
@tombreihan Hi Tom. I'm looking for a list of 25-100 21st cent. albums I may have missed. Any articles/rankings you would suggest? I just finished a top 100 albums coffee table book where I heard a lot of the previous century's canon and I enjoyed it so looking for more required listening
@tombreihan Yet another banger, Tom. Your description of the soccer-anthem-ness and those nothin'/country lines made me chuckle. There's also something satisfying about the post/pre-disgrace tidbit you used in the separate paragraphs. Cherry on top is two good songs to close out the column.
