New Ethereum org just dropped.

While the EF is shrinking its mandate and more focused on protecting Ethereum's core properties, a group of EF builders have spun out to create a second org.

Its mandate is simple: accelerate Ethereum. Increase adoption. Protect DeFi. Solve the biggest problems and make ETH the currency of the internet.

(Yes, this is the number go up org.)

Hyperliquid 团队完全不收取交易手续费，也不从任何交易活动中获利。项目全程自筹资金，所有收入都用于指数级销毁，至今已把超过几万美元 (当时) 全部返还给社区。

其他项目很可能就把这些钱私吞了。你为什么要这么做？

这和大家普遍认知完全相反。Hyperliquid 不是慈善，但也不是传统意义上的生意。

其实没那么革命性，但在 DeFi 里确实是首例。它有点像当年的亚马逊——杰夫·贝佐斯十几年都不分红，把所有利润都投入增长，追求收入和市场份额的最大化。Hyperliquid 也是同样的长期主义思维。

更重要的是，加密行业实在太榨取了，从上到下几乎就是一台从散户身上吸血的机器。我们想用行动发出一个声明：这里不是这样。

能举例说说资金是怎么被榨取的吗？以及为什么加密的初心是去中心化，最后却走到这一步？

🟢 Jeff：

最早是2017年的ICO：项目方炒作概念，卖代币给自己手里的大量筹码，然后砸盘跑路，非常赤裸裸。

后来演变成VC模式，更隐蔽：先低价给VC和KOL拿筹码，再在中心化交易所高价卖给散户，最后还是砸盘走人。表面上没人违法，但本质上非常不道德，既毁了行业信誉，也让监管更有理由把整个行业打成骗子泥潭。

为什么会走到今天？因为加密的“自由”和“可编程性”是一把双刃剑。它能打破不必要的金融壁垒，真正革新金融体系；但同时也让诈骗变得极其容易，特别容易伤害那些信息不对称的参与者。

我们选择把 Hyperliquid 做成现在这个“社区优先”、反传统的方式——反 VC、反特殊利益集团（虽然我们不是反对做市商本身），就是希望把用户真正放在第一位。做市商也只是“大用户”，没有任何特权阶级。大家都是用户，在协议上以点对点的方式自由交易，这才是加密货币最初的愿景。

我认为这种叙事打动了很多人，尤其是那些被其他项目用常规套路伤透心的人。说到底，我们和其他认真做事的人没什么不同，就是想打造一个能长期创造真实价值的项目。

回溯到2006年，一位来自孟买的程序员出于整理个人电子书库的需要，自行开发了一款轻量级工具。时光快进到现在，这款小工具已吸引了全球近300万用户，覆盖236个国家，且保持着每两个月至少启动一次的活跃频率。

这款工具名为 Calibre，其作者 Kovid Goyal 至今仍在亲自迭代代码，就在上周还发布了新版。完全免费、开放源代码、并适配所有主流操作系统。

到底厉害在哪：

1️⃣ 几乎覆盖所有已知的电子书格式，从 EPUB、MOBI、PDF，到漫画包和 Word 文档，无一遗漏

2️⃣ 格式转换只需两步操作，Kindle 商店购入的内容可平滑迁移至 Kobo，PDF 文件也能轻松转为 EPUB 后在手机上阅读

3️⃣ 支持管理上万册藏书，还可一键启用内置服务器，家庭网络内任意浏览器即可随时访问书库

这才是真正意义上属于你自己的知识仓库，一个完全由本地文件构成的实体空间，而非将你圈禁在某款硬件生态里的数字围栏。

當然，還有接下來的挑戰，就是找到這群有趣的靈魂，我們要幹嘛？除了固定每年一場實體聚會，繼續用 AI 製作互動線上小遊戲 or dApp 應該是我想努力的方向。

其次是我個人的修煉——要避免在最後一天完成 90% 的工作量。這次上鏈還是有這樣的老症頭，幾乎 80-90％ 都是最後兩天搞定

This session, we explored the EF Mandate and EIP-7805 -> diving into topics around on-chain privacy and the tradeoff between CROPS and scalability, especially in today’s Ethereum landscape.
