For me, this isn’t resisting arrest.

The man is clearly confused and appears to have absolutely no idea why this police officer is suddenly hanging off him.

The officer doesn’t appear to say a word to him.

From this clip, it looks like an extraordinary failure of communication that has escalated the situation unnecessarily.

Sometimes a situation doesn’t need more force. It needs better communication.

I’ve seen a lot of people claiming that carrying a baseball bat in public is illegal.

It isn’t.

If you buy one from a shop, you can legally walk home with it. The same applies to golf clubs, a hammer or kitchen knives.

You cannot seriously sell a legal product in a shop and then arrest someone for taking it home.

That isn’t sensible policing. It’s ridiculous.

🇬🇧‼️🚨 SHORTCUT: Brit arrested a minute after buying a baseball bat and walking out of the store!

The interesting thing is that dozens of people are screaming at the police:

“It’s in its packaging, he just bought it. He has a receipt for it.”

Dozens of people are shouting at the police, which is a good sign, but the cops still arrest him.

In this case, pure technically the Police can only arrest you if they think you will use the bat as a weapon. In this case, obviously wrong he just came out of store.

If this arrest is legal, buying a baseball bat in the UK is practically impossible. Cops can just arrest you after you pay at the cashier.

Well that didn’t take long. This Regina mosque is going ahead now with their 3 minute call to prayer broadcast which will be heard for a kilometer in all directions.

The mosque’s director said he hopes by continuing to broadcast the call to prayer it will help people learn more about the Muslim faith and come to a better understanding.
