@Yeenpits I’m surprised you don’t keep at least the head with you at all times, whether it be a carry on or personal item. I would be upset if my fursuit parts got lost but it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I at least had my head still.
@thekitodiet Suggestion: Take this opportunity and don’t reinstall the app! Life is so much better when Twitter becomes a thing you mentally have to opt into by going to the browser rather than mindlessly opening the app or getting notifications that suck you back in.
@Tyler_McV Probably around $1,200 now, given I would’ve paid $750-$800 before we as a society chose to kill general computing to generate misinformation and shitty fruit people. Mark my words, it’s probably $1499 and I’m gonna skip it until prices go down.
@sharintaint@ChrisRGun@sleepy_devo $20 + lost wages from taking a day off work to go to the DMV + possibly getting fired because people in low paying jobs don’t get PTO. And heaven forbid you do get the day off work and some cranky DMV employee doesn’t want to take one of your documents.
At this point I’ve seen some version of the metaphor of AI as gym equipment that works out for you (so you don’t get anything out of the workout) multiple times. And I really think it’s one of the better comparisons out there. It’s simple, familiar, and people really get it.
@FoxyMarxist They’re not going to. This is why I’m pro 2A and specifically pro campus carry. We don’t live in a society that’s going to protect us (broadly speaking about queer people but especially trans women) which sucks but that means we must plan accordingly.
@uwukko I love seeing people in these comments who know nothing about computers cope about how single core performance doesn’t matter (Big AMD bulldozer energy)
@ArmedJ0y I always meet people inside a police station when selling phones or other electronics on marketplace. Can’t carry there in Illinois but it scares away the criminals before ever even talking price.
@MKBHD This Mac actually does have a use case for power users. I’m going to probably pick one up to do basic tasks on the machine, and when I need to do real work I’m going to SSH into my beefy Linux box at home.
