Chris Evans has worked with some of the best directors in the game. Danny Boyle, Edgar Wright and Bong Joon-ho. He made more money than he knows what to do with after the MCU. What is he doing, making movies like this and Ghosted? Is artistic integrity dead?

I need to be as clear & concise as humanly possible: #RedOne (🌟) is not just the single worst movie of 2024, it’s one of the worst movies I’ve seen in my life. Do not waste even half a second of your day on this movie- please. I beg you. I understand the responsibility that comes with having a large platform & I’m certain there are good folks who worked on this film, especially below the line. But I am so angry I spent 2 hours of my life watching this movie that at this point, I do not care whose feelings I hurt. This film is utter dog shit & has me questioning my faith in society at large.

Red One is the story of a Santa’s operative team E.L.F. (Extremely Large and Formidable), which is the organization responsible for saving Santa Clause after he’s kidnapped. The concept behind the film is to combine the holiday genre with the action genre. The plot is incredibly stupid, the jokes/one-liners make me never want to watch a film again, CGI is the worst thing I’ve ever seen, and the actors are all atrocious. All of them.

A word for Chris Evans & The Rock (@TheRock): what are you doing? Shame on both of you for making this film, each of you are equally, unbearably awful. In particular Chris Evans, who is up there with Ryan Reynolds as maybe the worst leading man I’ve ever seen in my life. Just consider some of the films Chris Evans has recently made: Pain Hustlers, The Grey Man, Ghosted…like what? I couldn’t pick worse movies if my agent begged me. I’m so sick of Chris Evans & I’m getting to the same point with The Rock. Each deserve to be criticized to the high heavens for this unbelievable pile of crap. Same goes for J.K. Simmons who I normally love but might need to return his Oscar after this.

We’ve seen some bad movies in 2024 (Joker sequel, Unfrosted, Argylle) but oh my god Red One takes the cake. Do not see this film.
