In 1995, a small team of engineers unveiled a new programming language designed for flexibility, portability, and robustness. That language was Java. And three decades later, it remains one of the most influential technologies in the software world.
Thank you for helping us celebrate #30YearsOfJava this past year. We look forward to many, many more years of pushing the boundaries of innovation and the pursuit of developer excellence. ❤️
JDK 25 is the first release that includes the FFM API and has broad long-term support. Learn how this allows us to avoid the previously slow, brittle, and complex process of using JNI and ByteBuffers in this #JavaOne talk. https://t.co/k6seYxv8No

You notice when people care about what they’re building here.
For me, the best part was the conversations.
Not the talks. The hallway track.
Talking directly to the people working on Java. Getting their unfiltered view. Hearing how things actually work and where things are going.
That’s the stuff you don’t get online.
Also - very well organized. And yes, the food was great (not comparable to JavaOne from 10 years)
I gave two talks around the Java ecosystem: The core idea was simple: Java can do a lot more than many people think. I showed how tools like OpenRewrite, Vaadin and EclipseStore help you move faster and get more out of your applications without throwing everything away.
And then there was the ribbon game.
Luiz Real and Ivar Grimstad took it seriously. Really seriously.
Just look at their badges.
Next stop is JCON Europe in April: https://t.co/q8dWCxGkE1
The Oracle team will be there. If you want to have these kinds of conversations, that’s the place.
Huge thanks to @Oracle for hosting such an amazing #JavaOne conference!
I’ll definitely miss the energy 🚀
Hope to see some of you at Spring I/O next month.
