@JonHeyman In the 70’s when I was a teen we moved to Rome. The only things that kept me connected to home were SI and the International Herald Tribune. SI arrived every Thursday in a bright blue KLM wrapper. Although I’d never flown KLM it became my favorite airline.
@brianmctaggart “But” suggests a contrast that feels misplaced—being “just fine” doesn’t logically oppose the act of flying or joining the team. Please write gooder.
You’re not gonna want to know this…
You pay:
$0.73 to USPS to deliver a 1 oz letter across town. They lose $ billions.
$0.03 to an Oil Co for 1 oz of gas that came from exploring for oil, developing it, producing it, transporting it (often across the globe) refining it into gas, and transporting it, again,to your pump. (Oh, and a good portion of that. $0.03 is taxes). They make
$ billions. @elonmusk
@ThomasSowell Trump’s already said his policy is reciprocity. Canada just needs to drop to zero and Canada realizes an amazing 1-2% GDP boost. What’s so hard? Is this a dick-measuring contest?
My daughter-in-law is a dual citizen of Russia. I love her to death. Her Russia parents bought a condo in Miami and 1 month prior to each of the four kids’ birth entered the US on a visitors visa. As soon as possible mama and baby returned to Russia. Presto - 4 shiny new US citizens.
Now, that ain’t right and couldn’t possibly be what the Founders envisioned.
@wholemars I wouldn’t transfer any pardon power to Congress. But I would suggest to reforms unanticipated by the Founders:
1. No self-interest pardons (family, administration officials)
2. No preemptive pardons. Pardons were intended for existing crimes.
