@jkhuggins Ugh... that's so frustrating. Dead classrooms can suck the life out of you. Is there anyway you can incentive participation, like with a group pop quiz or something like that (if your syllabus gives you space to do so)?
@courtneyellis Tamara pierce writes adventure stories in a middle-ages sequence world with magic centered around extraordinary women. I fell in love with her books as a preteen.
@nickiadanza@ShannonGaitz@simonmee89 What if Feras/Aileen asked Kirby to pick a Titan rather than giving her a name? Then she’d definitely be getting heat for choosing the person to go, and Aileen/Feras could still split on that titan and Scott.
@druidDUDE@TheTraitorsAU I love that you could tell that the host felt so bad for the remaining faithful. You could see their face fall as they comprehended what the traitor said!
@howie_hua Remedial math in college can be good and necessary. There’s no use pushing students through to a credit bearing course if they can’t add or subtract. They just fail, and become disheartened.
@ShannonGaitz@KingGeorge2200 Great podcast! I was dying when y’all were talking about the celiac contestant not being able to eat rice - rice is gluten free! Haha.
@Dsrussosusan Sure. "If a rectangle has all sides the same length, then it's a square." Your statement is still true even if you're dealing with an example where a rectangle has different length sides.
@finejuli It’s actually not the most efficient way! Not that the way we do it is good, but the back to front model bottlenecks because of overhead luggage storage.
@_BeautyByLMarie Get a white noise machine. I had a problem where every creek of the apartment I assumed someone was breaking in and had a mini panic. If you have the extra lock that other people suggested, then the white noise machine for night can help reduce the anxiety.
