🚨 A brand-squatting npm package impersonating TanStack shipped malicious versions that exfiltrate environment variables from developers’ machines during install.
We spoke to @tannerlinsley, creator of @tan_stack, who confirmed that the maintainer of the unscoped tanstack package is not associated with TanStack or the official @tanstack/* projects in any way. The package is unrelated to the project's official CLI, and represents an ongoing brandjacking issue.
He also said TanStack has filed legal documents related to a pending trademark infringement claim against the maintainer, that the maintainer previously demanded $10,000 from him, and that TanStack has repeatedly tried, unsuccessfully, to get @npmjs to address the situation.
@aarondfrancis Just wanted to say I’ve been loving the content you’ve been putting out lately and the insightful discussions you’ve been part of. Thank you for all your hard work!
@LeaVerou@vuejs I think ecosystem is definitely a part of the reason. I personally choose Vue, but am tempted by React from time to time due to the tooling that exists around React. Vue is making headway into this, but still has a long way to go to catch up.
@MichaelThiessen@vuejs Using the composition API almost exclusively these days. I do miss the forced structure of the options API, but composables and the VueUse library win me over.
@sjcallender@fostercommerce Interested to see how you approach headless commerce with Craft. I think one of the biggest challenges is the lack of GraphQL support. With only the ability to query product/variants, it seems like it would be a lot of work to do simple things like add/show items in a cart.
@Vultr I understand that this must be a stressful time for you, however, one of the most important aspects of managing these situations IMO is making sure your customers are updated. We need to be able to provide info to our teams/customers.
Pretty excited about CP Nav for #craftcms 4, squashed a good handful of bugs, added support for nested menu items, and best of all nested menus can be always open, or toggled. Time to save those clicks! https://t.co/az2MrLCfOa
