Our lovely flag guys in Braintree went to RAF Wethersfield today and picked up all the litter from the migrants at the base, 14 BAGS!

They couldn't stand the thought of more of our TAXPAYERS money being spent on the clear up. This included the picking up of many alcohol cans and bottles.

The @ukhomeoffice confirmed last week it would seek to use funds from the large vessels grant allocated to @BraintreeDC and ask them to clear up the littering.

The flag team shouldn't have to do this but they wanted to because they are good people.

Winston Churchill is the Father of the Nation.

He led Britain through its darkest hour, brought us back from the brink of economic collapse, and saved Europe from the jaws of Nazi occupation.

To remove him from our £5 notes is nothing short of a national disgrace.

The Bank of England has claimed that his removal is an “overdue” decision, and that we need to diversify our currency to reflect modern British culture.

…which equals hedgehogs and badgers, apparently.

Now, I love our native wildlife as much as any Brit who was raised in the countryside (Shropshire loud and proud). But it is an utter farce to replace the greatest British leader in modern history with woodland animals.

It isn’t just a £5 note.
It’s a symbol of Britain’s legacy.

To erase Churchill is to erase the bravery, sacrifice and courage of an entire wartime generation. It is a deliberate snub to our greatest hero and everything he represents.
