- KNOWLEDGE is everything. We need to understand all the information we receive and be able to adapt to changes during the process. It is never a straight line.
- COMMUNICATION is key. All professionals must be involved from the beginning until the end of the process.

- General protocols are not useful. One size DOESN'T fit all.
- The less aggressive we are with muscle injuries, the better they evolve.
- In every muscle complex (i.e. RF or hamstring) we can find different injuries (tend, MT, MF...) that need to be managed differently.

Flywheel Training in Space: Artemis II 🚀
The Astronauts aboard the Artemis II Mission have turned to flywheel training as a footprint-friendly, cost-efficient, and maximally effective way to maintain bone density and muscle mass while in zero-gravity.
Flywheel Systems don't rely on gravity to create resistance and offer a number of unique benefits for space missions:
✅ Weight and footprint (14kg vs the 1800kg currently on ISS).
✅ Variable Resistance means the device can be used both for cardiovascular as well as heavy duty strength training.
✅ Accessible learning curve and simplified operation with studies showing equal and often improved results vs. traditional weight training methods.
✅ Substantially cheaper to produce and maintain than hydraulic or alternative systems.
In preparation for the mission, our kBox was used extensively by the Canadian Space Agency to test and develop the protocol currently being used by the Artemis crew.
"In collaboration with NASA, the CSA team has replicated the specifications on a commercially available flywheel device and used it to trial various exercise protocols."

Return-to-Play decisions are still based on timelines.
Injury → MRI → 16 days → back to play.
But muscle velocity of contraction is the last to recover.
So… are we clearing athletes too early?
